Meet the team

Alex Claber

What do you do at Barefaced?
Ideas, engineering, advising customers, talking at cameras, dealing with the money, playing bass, keeping the good ship HMS Barefaced and her crew on course.

When did you start working at Barefaced?
The first cab went out in October 2008 and I started working on what became Barefaced a few years before that.

Favourite BF cab and why?
Big Baby II. Clean, clear, loud enough much of the time and two is always enough. Let’s me hear what my hands, bass, any pedals and my amp are doing, however weird, noisy, deep or loud it gets. Everything from sweet to nasty.

What do you play?
Bass - uniquely. Drums - badly. Guitar - worse! Sing. Write (music & lyrics).

Fun Fact
“Twitter” was a 19th-century word for an abscess on a horse’s foot.

Bobby 'Twoshoes' Hewitt

What do you do at Barefaced?
Over the years almost everything! I am the product co-designer, I also do photography, training, social media, promotions, factory and manufacturing design, business strategy and senior management. I used to make the cabinets, but don't do that anymore.

When did you start working at Barefaced?
From early 2011 I started working with Alex.

Favourite BF cab and why?
For design, I'm proud of what we achieved through simplicity with the ONE10, and for ingenuity the FOUR10. For performance I think the SUPER TWIN is outstanding.

What do you play?
Drums, a bit of piano, guitar, jawharp, spoons and mixing desk.

Fun Fact
Bobby can still recite all the words to to the 1990 track "Turtle Power" by Partners in Kryme.

Marcus

When did you start working at Barefaced?
I joined Barefaced in 2014, and now stand as the 3rd longest running employee of the company.

What's your favourite BF cab and why?
EIGHT10 - go big or go home. I love the classic growl it has over the 12s.

What do you play?
Guitar!

Fun Fact
The Llama's name is Teddy

What do you do at Barefaced?
Try to be as useful as possible! I was initially bought on board to test guitar cabs, which was pretty much a dream job! I do admin and nurse the guitar hanging directly behind my desk. I make sure your money turns into a cab and schedule production around our customers needs. I also do anything else that happens to crop up day to day, which keeps me on my toes!.

When did you start working at Barefaced?
September 2016.

Favourite BF cab and why?
ONE 10 - It's crazy loud and super portable!

What do you play?
Guitar, absolutely love it.

Fun Fact
Until 1858, all British passports were written in French.

Tom

What do you do at Barefaced?
I look after the purchasing side of the business. You need it? I know a guy who knows a guy who can get you it. Forget about it. You can also find me keeping the company Instagram in line, I dabble with Twitter and Facebook too. Check out our Youtube channel to see me chatting to our Barefaced artists about how awesome their cabs are.

When did you start working at Barefaced?
September 2016. Barefaced rescued me from a nightmare of a high street clothing shop, I will be eternally grateful

Favourite BF cab and why?
EIGHT 10 - It's big, it's loud, it's the BOSS. We made one wrapped in hot pink tolex once... that looked amazing.

What do you play?
I started off playing drums, moved onto bass, then guitar. I'm now a frontman for a Brighton based band. (I told them I'd get up the front of the stage someday, no one believed me.)

Fun Fact
Tom can fit into size 12 ladies faux leather trousers... He doesn't go anywhere without his eyeliner... He met Eddie Izzard once. Apparently he's a Lovely guy.

Ben

What do you do at Barefaced?
Work in production building cabs. I have mastered all processes involved with cab building to god level. My colleagues are always asking for wisdom here, "where is that big twin?" "That's a stupid idea" and "why haven't you moved the tickets"

When did you start working at Barefaced?
I've been working for Barefaced for 1 and a half rotations of our planet around the sun.

What's your favourite BF cab and why?
My favourite cab to build is the Big Twin II because it's requires master level skills to coerce the cab together and impress all my friends..

What do you play?
Guitaaaah, Bass.

Fun Fact
Ben enjoys long cycles on Brighton beach over and over and over and over every evening until he throws up.

Joe

What do you do at Barefaced?
Production assistant!!

When did you start working at Barefaced?
Back in April 2016!

Favourite BF cab and why?
It has to be the FOUR10! In general I prefer the roundness and warmth of the 10CR range. Combine that with the aesthetics of the FOUR10 and you're onto a winner!

What do you play?
I play drums mainly! A little guitar but mostly I like to whack stuff!

Fun Fact
