First of all, you were right, the wait for the box was worth it. I'm very impressed; it really is like having a guitar amp right next to me.

The great design and light weight (I'm 58 years old now, I don't want to lug things around anymore) make me happy, so I'm really glad I chose the Barefaced.

The only thing I don't quite understand are the two small switches at the output. On one sheet you send along, it sounds to me like they attenuate the low frequencies, on the other sheet more like they attenuate the high frequencies. Perhaps that's also due to my poor English.

I tried various settings but couldn't detect any difference in sound. Do the switches only function when I connect an external speaker?

Hi Wolfgang,

The two switches on the back control the loudness of the rear tweeter. Both up is loudest, then top down bottom up, then top up bottom down, then both down is quietest. It's there to adjust for room acoustics and player position. It doesn't change the sound out of the front of the cab but the treble energy in the room. Let us know if you can hear it now you know what you should be hearing!
