31/05/26 - Super Twin T - USA
Hi Alex,
I wanted to reach out and say thank you for building such an amazing cabinet.
I've been playing bass for a long time and have owned a lot of gear over the years. The Super Twin is one of those rare pieces of equipment that immediately made me smile the first time I played through it.
What struck me most was how much of the instrument comes through. I found myself hearing differences in timbre between notes played on different strings that I'd never really noticed before. Instead of just hearing a note, I was hearing the character of the instrument behind the note.
The low end is massive, but what really impressed me was how much weight and authority the notes have all the way up the neck. Nothing feels lost.
After spending decades chasing gear, I've realized that what matters most to me isn't features or gimmicks. It's a cabinet that reproduces my instrument honestly and exceptionally well. The Super Twin does exactly that. I've heard you talk about that in your YouTube videos, but I never really understood what you meant because I'd never actually experienced it for myself. Now I get it.
My gear has changed a bit since our initial conversation in February. I've since picked up a GK 1001RB Legacy and a Fender American Pro II Jazz V. I think I've finally found my way to tone home after all these years, and the Super Twin has been a huge part of that journey.
Thank you for all the work that went into designing and building it, and please pass my thanks along to everyone at Barefaced who had a hand in making it happen. I'm looking forward to putting many years and many gigs on this cabinet. It was worth the wait. It's clear a lot of care went into it.
Cheers,
Josh
