I haven’t fully got to grips with it yet but this combination is pretty good. It’s just about loud enough for a medium sized lounge.

Hi there,

I’ve been using a super twin in a my main rig for years and really enjoyed it, I did a smaller show yesterday where the PA failed and I offered my set up to put some vocals and guitar through it. As I have the model with no tweeter it sounded understandably muffled and a bit lo-fi.

Would you open to putting the matching tweeter in a separate enclosure allowing for flexibility in different situations, completely understand if not.

02/07/25 - Super Twin - UK

I have a Super Twin cabinet and have today taken delivery of an Ampeg Venture V12 to drive it. I was surprised to see my usual Speakon Cable won't go into the Ampeg. I've now discovered that it needs 'NL2' type connectors and won't take anything else. I can only find NL2 to NL2 cables online - the question is, will an NL2 cable fit into my Supertwin? I have been able to find an NL2 to 1/4" Jack which I guess will work but I prefer not to use Jack cables if I can avoid it.

Any other suggestions?

I'm in a 4-piece rock band and we don't play coffee houses or low volume background music so this Super Twin T has been working out very well.

I've played Ashdown ABM 600, Gallien Krueger 800S Fusion, Mesa D800+ and Genzler Kinetix 800 heads through it and they all sounded quite good but this Bergantino HP Ultra is the best of the lot with this particular cab IME. The HP/LP filters, modern/vintage voicing, tube emulation, drive and nice onboard compressor add some good mojo to the EQ bands, punch, and bright buttons. The large amount of headroom on tap make this sound good both at lower volumes as well as when turning it up to match with a hard-hitting drummer.

The Super Twin T is a low-end cannon with excellent tone and definition which is marvelous with the ample headroom of the HP Ultra. I've received a lot of positive feedback from both bandmates and the audience about how solid the bass tone is. My lower back isn't up for heavy lifting anymore so I wanted a one-cab solution with enough power (along with FOH when needed) to handle any gig that was also easy to transport. The castors, placement of the 3 handles, and protective cover make this easy to get in and out of my SUV.

Quite pleased with this investment.

I have the tweeter on full but the cab tone is dominated by those robust 12" drivers so there is no harshness, just enough extended treble to keep the cab from sounding dark. The amp's treble control along with passive tone on the bass tailors the high end just fine."

Looking impeccable in the practice space. The cab is a monster! So much more low end than the Two10S I was running and also more clarity and punch. I really love it! Can't wait for the first gig, in ~10 days.

I must say, that the Big Baby 3 is wonderful speaker, it could play almost open air (in an open tent) with a little band (drums, 2 guitars, singing, bass and piano) even when powered by 60W Mark Bass Micro Mark

Absolutely chuffed that my Super Twin has finally arrived! Sounds incredible compared to the rumble 210 I had to use until this came. 100 tube watts at 4ohms has this thing growling.

Well, the new Super Twin T performed perfectly tonight at its first gig. Loud, clear, defined, cutting through the mix perfectly. Huge low end and punchy mids, possibly enhanced by the complete cleardown and subtle resetting of the EQ on my Ashdown ABM 600 (as suggested elsewhere in the group) but honestly the best sound I’ve ever had on stage; possibly even better than a pro monitor mix as it was all under my control 🤪

Worth the wait. Drummer very happy. Many notes have never been so clear. But… can’t hide the mistakes anymore…

I've posted this rig before but not outside in 100F heat, in direct sunlight for 3 hours. Note lens flare from spray-on sunblock. You will be *shocked* to hear it sounded great.

I understand that the power stage in the TT is designed to break up gracefully, and make good tone when it does, but I've never been able to turn up that far 😆
