I’ve been thrilled with my BB3 I acquired earlier this year. But the 10CR is so compelling, I’m planning a Three 10 order. Not ready now, but expect an order in early 2025

I love the SC that you delivered in August. Last week I went to see Ariel Posen in concert, and he was using a Barefaced guitar cab! He sounds awesome.

Hi! I’ve been the proud owner of Big Twin 2 (Gen 3) for many years now.
Always loved the transparency of the cab with my Genz Benz & Darkglass heads. I’ve recently moved over to a Neural DSP Quad Cortex and I’ve found it a struggle to get a tone I’m happy with thus far. Being an FRFR cab (though no ordinary FRFR ofc), I expected using a modelled head & cab IR I’m familiar with, it to be an instant hit, but I’m finding that the bass response is overwhelming, almost head splitting where I have to turn it down where It gets lost in a rehearsal mix, or it’s too spiky in the high end using overdrives.
I can’t find the balance! I’m happy with the tone in IEMS in general so I’m a little lost! Do you have any advice for optimising the Quad Cortex for the BT2? EQ or general tips for modellers with the Big Twin series?
Thank you so much for any advice you may have!

Hi Tom,
There's a few things it could be - if the cab is in the corner of a room with solid walls then you get a load of extra lows. If the HF control is all the way up then you may want to back it off a bit. The quality of IRs is very variable (the more I learn about them, the more incomplete I realise they are). Or is there any EQ in the signal chain going to the cab? In a normal half-space environment (on the ground, walls a long way away) the response of the BT2 is pretty damned flat until it rolls off the in the lows and highs - no peaks or dips of significance. From our experimentation with guitar FRFR cabs, we've found that it's rarely plug and play, it takes quite some work to get it all sorted.
Best regards,
Alex

I was just curious why it has the two speakon/combi sockets? Is it just in case one fails for some reason, or is there some else to it?
I love my Big Baby 3! I'm already craving another purchase lol
Great work!

I'm hoping you can help me.
A few years ago I had a Super Midget and foolishly sold it. I decided to change my whole rig and have regretted it ever since. I am now looking to buy a new Barefaced cab and was hoping for some advice.
I run a TC Electronics RH750 amp and have a Vanderkley 600w Neolite cab. It is a nice cab but does not have huge finesse. I am looking for a Barefaced cab to add that finesse. With the Vanderkley I don't hear the nuances of my playing, the ghost notes and little taps and kills. When I had the Super Midget I used a TC Electronics RH450 and got all the good stuff. I play a passive Wal bass and like a "woody" tone but maybe with just the V it is not muddy, but not enough tonality in the mids and possibly in the bass also.
As I say, I am looking to pair something up so anything from 500w to 800w is more than enough power. From what I've read/been informed, I see the choice as being between a Super Compact and a Two 10s. - but not having had the chance to try either I was hoping you could guide me.
Thanks in advance
Mal

Hi Mal,
Definitely a 12XN cab if you want all the nuances - that's a big part of what's so special about the 12XN, you hear EVERYTHING!

Alex

I have received, and am amazed by, the Super Mini T; it surpasses my exceedingly high expectations. Truly amazing.

Quick question: do I have anything to worry about hooking up the Big Twin 3 and the Big Baby 3 together to my Bergantino Forte HP 2?
I’ve done it twice for outside gigs with no front of house support and it sounded great. I set my amp at 2 ohms. But a lot of money between those three pieces of gear so I don’t wanna burn anything up.
Corey

Hi Corey,
That should be fine - set the amp to 2 ohms and each 12XN will get a third of the amp's power.
Best regards,
Alex

I purchased a Big Twin 3 from you guys in August of 2023. Love it! It works for all of my musical endeavors.
I am particularly impressed with how well it keeps up in my metal gig. Doesn't even break a sweat! Consider me a convert.

I have now recieved both a BT3 and a One10T and I am excited about both.
I am concidering ordering a Super Mini T and a One10, but I need it for an upcoming tour and would therefore like to ask you if it is possible to put a rush on delivery of these two items!? It would be greatly appreciated!

If you're ever in need of your next Barefaced cab sooner than our production and delivery times outline, never shy away from getting in touch. We often have stock cabs ready to go, but we can also push a cab to the top of the cutting queue.
We also do B-stock drops once in a blue moon, so keep your eyes peeled for that fabled newsletter!

Hi Alex
Long time no talk, I hope you’re doing well
I saw an ear blowing concert yesterday evening. I don’t know your musical taste?
Between jazz and metal, 2 genres I usually hate, but I really loved this show. Virtuoso but never boring, super powerful yet musical, super original.
Tigran Hamasyan - They will be in London November 17, I highly recommend. Get the tickets, you will thank me.
I couldn’t see the stage very well from where I stood, so I get close to it at the end of the show, and, as you probably already guessed, the bassist was playing… a BT3
It was the first time I’ve seen a Barefaced cab in the wild (except for mine of course), I was happy that it was used by such a great musician.
Do you remember selling a Big Twin 3 to Marc Karapetian?
Trust me, he’s making good use of it
Cheers,
Guillaume

Hi Alex, this is an odd question but, I have a Big Baby II. I’m getting a PA and have been advised that I will still need a sub even with 15” tops. I use the BB with a Crown 1000w PA amp, normally, bridged. Will I kill my cab if I use the amp and cab as a sub, for now?
Thanks. That cab is pretty damned awesome so don’t want to hurt it.
Adrian
----------------------------------------------
Hi Adrian,
As long as the cab is running clean then it'll be fine - the 12XN is designed to distort quite a lot before it blows (unless you're putting in a particularly unusual signal). What are your crossover and limiter settings going to be?
Best regards,
Alex

Alex!
Used the cab with a PA amp as a sub running from a monitor send last night for the first time. It was brilliant and tight. I sounded massive! Thank you,
Adrian

Thanks, Alex! The cab is sounding great, but as you know, it only sounds as good as I do. So I'm pretty stoked to be getting good sounds that everyone loves.
