Barefaced Bass - Ultra lightweight high power bass guitar speaker cabinets

Customer Feedback

I've been using a Super Compact cab. Very light and can handle higher sound levels than most, plus FRFR so you get a good, full sound. My can is an 8 ohm, which I find plenty loud enough, but a pair will take you to 4 ohms and boost the volume if needed.

04/02/26 - Super Mini T - USA

Even though I pride myself in building my own speaker cabinets, YOLO so I bought a Barefaced Super Mini T. It's a single 600W 12" with an adjustable tweeter in a small ported cab with a "Top-Hat" hole for a speaker stand. I'm a bass player too and I've been following Barefaced for a while. These cabs are made in England and are rare in the US, but a bass buddy of mine has a super-twin that sounds great. I bought the smallest 12" cab they make, thinking I could double-duty it for steel and bass (not on the same gig though - I hope).

Last night I played steel with a 11pc. pretty loud hard to describe "jazz-fusion" band. The cabinet was right behind me up on the drum riser. It sounded absolutely fantastic, and what's more amazing was that everyone in the band could hear me - everywhere on stage. I don't know how they got the dispersion to be as good as it is!

I had been using a 1501BW in a closed-back cab. With that, the mid-bump was hard to tame, I sounded a bit thin in the audience, and players on the other side of the stage had trouble hearing me. Not with the Barefaced.

It apparently made me play better too - I've never received so many high-fives after a show.

I'm seriously starting to love my BB3 now, after a few weeks of "breaking it in" and getting used to it.

Initially, I found it rather "honky" and harsh in the midrange, but I was prepared that it would act a bit different from the average "coloured" bass speaker and that it would demand some changes in my setup. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it now and I'm getting a tone that I really like.
I do the bulk of my tone shaping on a pedal board, ending with a JHS colour box for EQ, saturation and as a DI. It obviously doesn't sound exactly the same through the PA as on stage, but I must say that it's pretty close and I'm really quite happy with both. The BB3 is capable of playing seriously loud and at the same time with exeptional clarity and depth. It's really nice to have a B-string with the same volume as the rest of them!
Here's a pic from last nights gig with a local cover band. My BB3 is paired with a Mesa Carbine M6 + an additional TKS 1x15" for extra oomph, even though I probably didn't need it. The BB3 is more than capable as a monitor for small/medium gigs like these (Audience was about 100 ppl).

Super happy so far!

Got the Mini. Safe and sound.

Everything looks and sounds great. I'm really excited about my Mini Stack!

Thank you Barefaced!

08/02/26 - Super Twin - USA

My Super Twin is turning eight years old.

I play a Wyn 5 string bass with Norstrand pickups and use a Aguilar AG500 amp. I play mostly blues but cover other jaunras as well. Every sound guy plugs into my amp, at the end of the evening they tell me they didn't put me in the mix because the Super Twin filled the room. I can get a 40hz wave out of it that moves people's clothing and is now referred to as liquid bass. How cool. (I am not playing loud)

When people tell me that I sound great I just say of have a great bass and I point at the Super Twin...

Thank you, thank you, thank you

God level equipment...
I love both of mine. Somehow they sound better and better each gig.

I did a gig with my non T Super Twin last night and I can echo everything [Claes] said.

I couldn’t imagine needing more than this ever.

Once again, I’m extremely satisfied with my Super Twin T.

I’ve done several concerts and rehearsals with it, and it’s incredibly clear across the entire frequency range. Deep bass, a well-defined midrange, and a clear top end.

So punchy!

I have a Big Baby 2 bass cab and it is almost supernaturally good - endless, effortless power, sweet clarity if needed, seemingly bottomless low end. And it weighs hardly anything.

Utterly extraordinary!

The best equipment choice I’ve ever made was a Barefaced cab.

We all obsess over the instruments we choose, for obvious reasons, but no instrument can be properly heard or fully enjoyed through a mediocre cab. Same for any choice of amp or effect processing.

The difference these cabs make is just huge, and they’re so esy to work with on the road. I honestly can’t recommend them enough.
