BT3 is, hands down, the best cab I’ve ever owned. Worth the price, worth the wait. Thanks for all the dirty work team BareFaced.

Cheers from San Diego 🍻

The new cab sounds unreal! Can't wait to dive in deeper! A bit disappointed the baffle color (Eldorado) didn't match the previous 2x10's I purchased. I'll likely never have them in public together so not that big of a deal.

Keep up on the great work! Thanks again!

Big upgrade. Huge. Gonna be a good tour.

17/01/26 - Super Compact T - Spain

Hi Alex,

I purchased a Super Compact T last year and while I am very happy with it (and I am also happy with the volume), I would like a thicker/fuller/thumpier tone, especially in the lower frequencies.

I am considering getting a second Super Compact to add to my existing cabinet or maybe even Two10ST to use instead of it. What would you recommend?

I have a Mark Bass 800W but I just plug my pre-amp (Sushi Box) straight into the FX Return. I play a Fender Jazz bass and tend to play clean with compressor and a tube pre-amp with a little saturation. Sometimes, I add some overdrive.

Best regards,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Adding a second Super Compact is the way to go!

Hi guys,

The [replacement] wheels arrived this morning and are now fitted ready for this weekend's gigs - thanks for the great service!

Purely FYI, here are some pics of the old wheels (ignore the yellow bits on the rubber, that's the glue I tried using to hold it in place as a very temporary bodge for the last practice).

The wheel lasted 15 years of probably an average of at least fortnightly use so I can't really complain and the speaker itself is still going strong and sounding as awesome as ever.

Super Midget, with either an Acoustic Image Clarus 2 head or a Bergantino Ultra head and a Realist lifeline.

Superb stuff.

Hey there,

My guitar player recently received his new cab from you and it has literally blown me away so I’ve gone down the bass cab rabbit hole as the bass player in the band.

I’ve been watching a bunch of your YouTube videos so I thought I’d contact you for your suggestions as to which cab (or combo) you’d recommend. My band is a blues band, but I also play in a rock band at times. I don’t play any slap and rarely with a pick. My current rig is a Markbass rig, running 2 1x12 inch cabs (New York 121) through a Little Mark Vintage 500w head. In terms of the gigs we play, mostly in bars etc as you’d imagine but we also play some open air gigs and not always with line out, so I need to oomph. I run a number of drive pedals and run it all through a valve preamp pedal to give me a warm sound and some nice gentle break up (using the drive pedals for more OD as needed)

The things I like about my current rig is the component nature, giving me option for 1x12 or a stack if needed. The cabs are easy to lug around but your cabs are even lighter. I like having the headroom so typically run both cabs unless it is a tiny room.

In terms of tone, I like that the Markbass cabs are pretty much neutral for tone so basically what goes in, comes out. Certainly nothing like the FRFR gear you have, but I don’t feel they add much voice to the sound. I like that because I can use the bass, amp and pedals for the tone I need, whether that be a bit brighter or warm.

When using one cab, they actually go reasonably well but they do lose the ‘thump’ that I think most players love. Also, as you’ve highlighted once you move off axis it falls away a bit and can sound boomy in some rooms.

I guess I’m interested in whether a Super Compact or Super Mini is big and powerful enough to potentially replace the stack, at least initially, until I can save some more gig money to double up?

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

My gut feeling is that a Super Compact should enough most of the time - outdoors is always a pain but for the rest, I think you'll be fine!

06/12/25 - Super Twin T - Sweden

Hi Alex,

I have a Super Twin T, which I have tested at home with my double bass, and I am very pleased with the sound.

The only issue I am facing is transport: unfortunately, I cannot fit both the double bass and the cabinet in my car. For that reason, I am looking for a smaller cabinet solution.

I have read several comments on your website from players who use a double bass and seem very happy with the One10. Based on your experience, what would you recommend for double bass use - a 10” or a 12” cabinet?

Thank you in advance for your advice

Claes

Hi Claes,

If you really like the sound of the STT with your double bass then a Super Mini T will sound like a quieter and less fat version, and it's much smaller! The One10T isn't as accurate and can't go as loud (two One10 = one SMT for max output) b

Hello I own a Barefaced Big Baby 2 (Gen 3) which I absolutely love so thank you!

I’m just wondering if it would be ok to pair with a Seymour Duncan power stage and use with a guitar/quad cortex instead of (or as well as) bass?

Thanks

Mal

Hi Mal,

Yes, that'll work very well! Glad you're loving it - spread the word!

The Mini and Super Compact play nicely together.

Loud, deep and punchy

First gig with the Barefaced Super Twin at Sörmlands Radio.

Running it with my Genz-Benz Shuttle — massive tone, pure rock’n’roll.
Band and sound engineer were floored.
Best bass sound I’ve ever had.
Next stop: Engelen, Stockholm 🔥🎸
