Just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my Super Compact bass cab! It's amazing! I noticed that you now offer your Activier powered cabinet in the One10 cab for bass. Looks awesome, but I worry that only 100w @8 ohms won't give me enough headroom for bass. But if you were to beef up the power output of the Activier built in amplifier and offer it in a powered Big Baby 3, I would snap that up immediately and love you forever! Just saying!
Thanks for all you do
Dave

Hi Dave,
That's great to hear about your SC! And we are working on some bigger powered cabs!

I'm enjoying gigging my Super Twin, Super Compact and BB2. They sound as good as they ever had but cosmetically they are starting to look a little rough around the edges. Could you recommend a suitable textured paint so I can touch them up?
Dave

Hi Dave,
We can sell you some of our paint - it's custom made for us so I don't know of anything else you can buy that'll work. The texture is all in the technique though - it's the same paint on the outside and the baffle and ports etc.

Hi, Barefaced.
I ordered this One10 cab to use primarily for personal practice in a small room, but also (if it works out well) in rehearsals with a band (all acoustic except me) and even small gigs. I already own 2 Super Compacts, bought from you 6 or 7 years ago, but I also wanted the sound of a 10" speaker.
I look forward to receiving my new cab!

Hi George,
Great, hope you enjoy the One10! I trust the SC pair are sounding excellent?

Dear Alex,

I have a Barefaced Super Compact and I am very pleased with it. However, the current silver cloth grill needs to be swapped and I want to buy a see-through black metal grill for the cabinet. Please inform me how this can be done. I am willing to pay in advance for the metal grill and transport.
Regards,
Göran

Hi Goran,
Glad you're so pleased with the SC! Unfortunately the grill type cannot be changed, it's fixed near the start of the manufacturing process - more info here:

My Super Compact 12XN is an exceptional bass cabinet: lightweight, incredibly loud, and highly durable. Even at high volumes, it delivers undistorted sound with impressive low-end response. One cabinet is sufficient to play with a band without a PA system, but stacking two or three SCs further enhances the sound. Even in extreme cases, no more than three cabinets are needed to amplify a bass guitar at high volume with deep lows in a large space. This aligns with the philosophy of custom shops and boutique manufacturers, who aim for maximum sound pressure with minimal size or weight.
While the cabinet and finish are robust, the SC is not fully road-proof. Transport can lead to finish damage. For personal transport, a cover suffices, but for travel in a van, trailer, truck, or airplane, a flight case is necessary.
With a sturdier design and improved materials, the Super Compact would be perfect for intensive use and transport without compromising its performance.

A few years ago a bought a Super Compact with 12" speaker.
I like to buy me a second one for the gigs am playing now.
I am very satisfied with the sound and I think with two my bass will sound perfect.
But any advice from you will be appreciated. What is the best price?
Regards,
Fried Holtkamp

Hi Fried,
Glad you're pleased with your Super Compact. Adding a second one will give you a lot more output for bigger gigs. What amp will you be using? The only price is the price on our website - just pick the options you want!

Alex

Hi.
I have a Super Compact which sounds amazing BUT, I sort of miss the high end of a tweeter in certain applications.
Having driven the Super Compact hard a couple of times, I certainly do not need much more volume. I only play 5 string basses, need the bottom end but most of my gigs are in fairly small venues (with the odd festival here and there).. Options. Do I add a Super Compact T, or perhaps a Super 3rd T....or, or do I go with one cab that does it all, e.g. a BB2?
PS. I occasionally use an old Trace Elliot tube head, so need the space for one of these to sit.
All the best
Paul

Hi Paul,
It sounds like adding a Super Compact T is the way to go! A Super 3rd T won't stack as neatly and if you like the sound of the SC (apart from the lack of tweeter highs) then it makes more sense to stay with the SC's tone/feel in the lows than the more accurate BB3. And the SC is better for sitting sideways with a big tube head on it. Glad it's sounding amazing otherwise!
Best regards,
Alex

I love the SC that you delivered in August. Last week I went to see Ariel Posen in concert, and he was using a Barefaced guitar cab! He sounds awesome.

I have just picked up a Super Compact T secondhand and firstly I would like to say thank you for making such a great cab. It is just fantastic overall but the articulation in the midrange in particular is just outstanding. So much depth and detail. I was slightly sceptical about it replacing my 4x10 before I tried it but it convinced me very quickly. I am still considering buying one new from you though, as I am starting to feel that I might actually benefit from having the additional tweeter added.
Although in general the cab sounds lovely I'm maybe not getting quite as much from the top end of my dirty sounds as I'm used to. I'm going to play it out a bit and see how I feel about that. However, my main reason for getting in contact is to ask for advice about how to get the best from the cab re: amp pairing. I currently use a Darkglass microtubes 500 which has been alright for a while but I am hoping to replace with something tube-based, something that I can get a bit of proper warmth and saturation from. I always get confused by the technical stuff about power, impedance and all that stuff.
Could you suggest what sort of specs I should be looking for in an amp to get the best from this cab? For example I'm considering the orange terror 500w but worry is this underpowered for the cab? I appreciate that I am not directly a customer of yours yet so any time taken to reply is really greatly appreciated!
All the best
Tom

Hi Tom,
Glad you're liking the Super Compact! I presume you don't have a Super Compact T otherwise you could turn the tweeter up?
I'd experiment with the Darkglass to see what tones you can get from it. Going all valve gets v expensive and heavy to get a decent amount of power. The Orange just has some valves in the preamp but they're good sounding amps if you like their colour. Anything up to 600W is fine with the SC. Less power will get you less loud, that's all.
Best regards,
Alex
