I have had mine (two amp version) for a few weeks now. It is mind blowing how good it is. Even had the drummer in my band saying how good it sounds!

I have a first generation Two10 that I bought direct from you in 2017, which I absolutely love but it has a silver fabric speaker cover.

I was wondering if there would be a possibility that I could purchase a metal grill for it as I prefer this look.

Is this something that I could buy from you?

Kindest regards,

Jon

Hi Jon,

Glad you're loving the cab! Sorry, you can't change the grill - more info here: https://barefacedaudio.com/pages/cloth-to-steel-and-vice-versa

24/09/25 - Super Compact - UK

I have a Messa Boogie D-800 amp and I use I believe a 1x12 Barefaced cabinet (Super Compact) which is 600W. I've owned these for the last 9 years and have been fantastic but just wondered if a different cabinet can be recommended that takes advantage of the full 800 watts of the amp?

Or does it not actually make a difference as most gigs I play the bass goes through a DI into the desk and I never have to turn the amp up that loud?

Natalie

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Natalie,

If you're never turning the amp up that loud then it doesn't matter at all!

If you want to know how much power you're actually using, download a free dB meter app, set it to C or Z weighted and hold and put it on the ground 1m in front of your cab. Let me know what dB number it reads when you're playing at your loudest and I'll tell you how many watts that is.

Alex

10/09/25 - Super Twin / Super 3rd - Germany

Hi, How much would a Super Compact 3rd be, with silver cloth and a square typeface badge to match my Super Twin be?

The manual for my amp says 1x 4 Ohm or 2x 8 Ohm loads is fine so now I want a stack. Obviously!

Simon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Simon,

It's the same price as the Super Compact!

However, I don't think your current amp will drive that stack - the ST is 4 ohms and the S3rd 8 ohms, so 2.7 ohm in parallel.

Best regards,

Alex

Thanks Alex.

On one hand that's a shame, it would look so damn cool.  On the other, my wallet is breathing a sigh of relief and really with my GK 500 and a Supertwin I'm in no danger of not being heard anyway :)

Got the ST a week now. Everything was very well packaged and in perfect condition on arrival.

Set it up at home. Plugged my Jad Freer Sisma in and damn, it immediately sounded fantastic!

I had a longer description first but I'll keep it short. Everything the website says about the cab is spot on! It's smooth in the highs, honest, fat if you want, easy to carry and VERY loud!

Definitely the best cab I've ever had and the best I've ever sounded!

I’ve got the BT2, (2) Big Baby II’s, and a Super Mini - love ‘em all. Thanks for the great cabs!

Hello Barefaced Team!

I love my Three10 and I’m looking for a smaller sibling with a small twist. Can you do an 8 ohm One10 in the landscape version?

I never foresee using them together and I really like taller cabs.

Thanks!

Al

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Al,

Yes, we can fit the One10W with an 8 ohm driver if you prefer! Glad you're loving the Three10.

Best regards,

Alex

24/09/25 - Super Twin T - USA

I want to pass something exciting along to you regarding my Super Twin T.

I used to own Ashdown ABM cabs from ~2005 (UK, not China): a 4x10T and a compact 1x15. These were paired with an ABM 500 EVO II head. I sold the cabs and bought some old Trace Elliot cabs that were recommended to me (a 2x10 with replacement Neo drivers, and a 1x15). I kept the Ashdown head, but was using a Genz-Benz Streamliner 900 because I liked hearing the extra headroom and its incredibly light weight. But the combination of the TE cabs and this amp didn’t sound great on gigs.

When my Super Twin T arrived, I plugged it into the Genz-Benz amp. It sounded good, but I was struck by a sound that I can only describe as “hollow,” if that makes sense.

On a whim, I pulled my Ashdown head out of the closet and pugged it into the Super Twin T. My goodness, it sounds amazing. That hollowness is gone. Every bass I have sounds better. There’s plenty of detail and nuance, plus there is a weight and authority to the notes that is incredibly satisfying.

Perhaps you’ll know why this happens. All I really know is that playing through this amp and cab is an incredibly engaging and satisfying experience. I just wanted to pass this along.

22/09/25 - Super Mini / One10 - UK

I have been using a Super Mini with an Acoustic Image Clarus SL 600W for a while (acoustic bass and jazz bass fretless) with excellent results! But there are times that I could have a small cabinet.

Question 1: would the One10 match the Acoustic Image Clarus SL 600W?

Question 2: could I use both cabinets (One10 and SM with Acoustic Image Clarus SL 600W)?

Thanks in advance,

Demarco

Hi Fernando,

Yes, you could use the One10 with the Clarus. And yes you can stack the two cabs with it for some more output. Glad the SM + Clarus pairing is working well!

Alex

17/09/25 - Big Baby 3 - UK

First off, just to say how much I’m enjoying my two BB3 cabs (order ref #5439).

At some gigs however, the stage has been so small that I’m literally backing up against them, and on some gigs on a steamship, I’m not taking any cabs, just my amp straight to desk and a monitor signal to a floor monitor. The bass therefore does NOT sound great for me.

So basically I’m wondering if a “tilt back” or “monitor wedge shaped”,   version would be an option for a one10 or maybe a super mini?

I kinda get the feeling that tooling etc costs might make it prohibitive, but thought I should ask!

Kind regards,

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Glad you're enjoying them!

We've just moved premises (this is literally the first hour of all of us being in the new space) and we now have more space so this does open up quite a few options for customisations like this.

Alex

I hope this message finds you well, and you're enjoying the day -

I am thoroughly enjoying my new BB3 but had some general questions in regards to decoupling... Are there any dos & do nots regarding this? I feel like the web seems to give vague and not consistent information, and this seems right up your (and Alex's) alley. Perhaps this could be another informative video- I feel like after decades of playing, I have learned a great deal from watching many of the Barefaced videos online.

Oh, also waiting patiently for information about a Barefaced bass amplifier- hints are welcome! Thank you in advance for your time, and I hope to hear back soon!

Sincerely,

Sean

Hi Sean,

Glad you're enjoying the BB3!

I should make a video about coupling etc. Amp is progressing!

Best regards,

Alex
