20/12/25 - Reformer 112 - UK
I need some help/advice for my next Barefaced cabinet... I've been using a Reformer for the last year now - and it gigs great. But, I can't help feeling an Uprising 212V would just push a bit more air on stage.
I don't want to go any bigger as portability is also key. I'm also wondering if I should pair a V30 with a Creamback H75? I had also left a comment a while back on one of your YouTube videos - about demonstrating your cabs with a 'proper' rock sound - I play a Les Paul and a P90 as well as an EVH. Mostly through a Tonex with models for Marshall's, EVH and Matchless. I'm thinking/wondering if there's some scope for a new demo to illustrate best/alternate setups for gigging rock guitarists?

Hi John,
I agree that we need to do some more classic rock guitar demo videos. We definitely noticed some satisfying sonic effects with mixed driver set-ups to get a bigger sound. Glad the Reformer has been doing well!

Again at the prestigious[*] Alf's, where the stage includes convenient folding chairs... I finally got the courage to only bring in one One10. It was more than enough, of course. The speaker cab is now the smallest thing I bring.
*Not sure how prestigious it actually is

Hello I own a Barefaced Big Baby 2 (Gen 3) which I absolutely love so thank you!
I’m just wondering if it would be ok to pair with a Seymour Duncan power stage and use with a guitar/quad cortex instead of (or as well as) bass?
Thanks
Mal

Hi Mal,
Yes, that'll work very well! Glad you're loving it - spread the word!

The Mini and Super Compact play nicely together.
Loud, deep and punchy

Gig on last Thursday. Four10 filled the space, no need for PA.

I haven't really come to a definitive conclusion, except that the Two10ST is a marvellous bass cab and a lot of fun to play!

This Saturday I played a gig with my band The Victim Souls, and I brought my beloved Barefaced Six10 as always. I had a Verellen Meatsmoke until it was stolen a couple of months ago, but the Kalaloch is much easier to bring than the 40+ kg Meatsmoke - and I hate to admit that it sounds much tighter too. And even though the cabinet is overkill and would benefit from being pushed harder, it sounds great. One thing I really love is that because of the dispersion I can play loud on stage instead of just relying on FOH. It blends perfectly with the sound from the PA and the engineer is always blown away by how good the bass sounds with a miked cab instead of just DI. I play with a lot of overdrive - a Budda Phatbass and a Meatsmoke preamp.

Yesterday I had a second outdoor gig with this acoustic battery powered setup (electric bass is just a backup), and I was told by many people that I had a great warm and well defined tone. After the soundcheck one guy approached me and he was surprised how a tone like this can come from this tiny rig. Well done Barefaced, and also Warwick and Ibanez!

- It's loud, it's clearer and has a more "pristine" sound.
- No "Boomy" sound and much better dispersion.
- My Jam Pedals effects sound more audible and defined.
- It's so light. Transportation is much easier.
