I guess you know you're doing things right when someone orders another cab immediately after their first one haha!
I have a unique question for you... I was curious, I did not see that y'all could make the Reality as a 2x12 when I place my order.
I was curious, if I were to send mine back (and pay for the shipping and whatever upgrade costs) you would accept the return and make me this thing as a 2x12?
If not, no worries. I understand being oceans away from each other and I do love the cab still. I just think a 2x12 would have been "more perfect"
Anyways, let me know. I do not intend to cancel my 2x12 order for the radical. That'll be specifically for my tube amp.

Hi McClain,
Glad you're so pleased with the Reality! Regarding sending it back for a 2x12" version, that would be v expensive because we can't arrange shipping from the USA to UK so you'd be paying retail rates which are a lot. However, we can make you an extension cab, so for louder gigs you can stack the Reality 112FR on another 1x12", so it'll be the same as a Reality 212FRV, just in two boxes (which is how I do my 2x12" FRFR bass rig, with two BB3 rather than one BT3). Hope that makes sense!
Best regards,
Alex
10/07/24 - Big Baby 3 - USA
Hi Alex and gang!
I ordered a BB3 last year and have been absolutely loving it since I got it - paired with a Mesa/boogie TT-800. Aside from playing bass, I also play pedal steel and have been experimenting with running my pedal steel through the BB3. I have a quilter tone lock 202 that I run into it, and I can get a pretty nice sound overall but I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth exploring any sort of IR or speaker sim pedals to make use of the FRFR nature of the BB3, get it sounding more like a *steel guitar* speaker of sorts. I’d like to be able to shape the overall tone in this way as opposed to trying to eq heavier on the preamp than I normally would. Wondering if you have any ideas for best practice, or for any IR gear that would pair particularly well with a BB3?
I’ve never really messed with IR/speaker sim stuff so coming at this from a place of knowing next to nothing. Even if you can’t really recommend running a pedal steel through the BB3 that’s helpful info as well.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jesse,
Glad you're loving it! The BB3 is super accurate so if you put any pedal steel speaker IR into it then it'll get that sound really well. I don't know about standalone IR gear, it's not something I use but everyone here is using Quad Cortex or Helixes. James here has built a pedal steel and he says there's a particular Peavey combo that's most popular for it and I'm sure Eminence make some pedal steel speakers, so maybe there are IRs for them?

Alex

It sounds awesome. Fuller than my Super Midget which I already thought was an awesome speaker.

I'm loving my 2nd Reformer with the EVM12S in it. Using it with the OD Mesa pedal and DV Mark valve amp. It's so warm and powerful.
Thank you again.

p.s. I have a very small question. How do I secure the chrome cover on the strap handle? It came loose and I need to know the hack method of fixing it back on. It's not damaged. Just loose.

Hi Ivon,
Sorry to see about this! Squeeze the sides together, then hook it over the strap end and push down the outside end until it clicks.
Glad the second Reformer is sounding good!
Best regards,
Alex
10/07/24 - Upsetter + Reformer - USA
Guys! Thank you so much for your great work. These cabs are spectacular.
I've done a few gigs now with the Upsetter & Reformer in stereo & it's an absolute joy, and i'm just waiting on a custom Weber speaker to load the other Upsetter.
Every time I plug in I'm stunned by the clarity; it's almost frightening (fwiw, grumpy old veteran sound guys are also quite impressed!)

Hi Alex,
The cabinet rocks. Very pleased with the output of a single 10 and very happy with running the 2 -10” singles together. It’s as least as big a sound as the BB3, to my ear anyway. I do get more wattage out of my amp driving the 2-8ohm = 4ohm 10s than the 8ohm BB3 12, maybe that’s it? Dunno. Could be my imagination.
Down the road, I think I will have to replace the Big Twin, though. Stay tuned.

--------
Hi Randy,
Glad it's sounding good! Yes, two 10CR has similar output to one 12XN - the latter will do more if you want a totally clean sound, the former will do more if you're ok with more colouration and/or have less amp power.

I've been using 2 x BB2 cabs for gigs and 2 x One10s for rehearsals - very happy with both. There are however some changes ahead and wanted to ask your opinion if you have time... I have a new amp coming (not yours, although I've joined the queue too) and it has the option to go to 2ohm, it's a Jad Freer Coda 800w Power Amp. Since we have PA support with a subwoofer, and space is limited I have had to reduce to 1 x BB2. Mostly this is enough, but last week I did a gig in a small venue with the 2 One10s and it sounded pretty powerful and was a breeze for fitting in the car with all the other kit. I did feel I may have been driving then a tad hard with my GR Pure Amp 800w power amp, but then the Jad Freer preamp I'm using has a bit of grit, so.... So here is the crux of it. With the new amp, would I be able to drive three One10s at the 2ohm setting? ( I'd be ordering a One10 T)I see a number of people with this arrangement, but despite reading all your info I'm still baffled by the Ohm thing, well when it goes below 4 anyhow.
The three One10s would easily fit in the car with the sub giving me a bit more spread... or will it? One last thing, with your new ZeroK 7 what cab combinations would you be recommending - this may answer my question above too. Sorry for waffling, but in fairness I have had to watch your videos so you can't complain ha ha ha All the best Awesome cabs btw, never been happier.
Tim
--------
Hi Tim,
I'd almost always make the decision based on tone - the 12XN and 10CR are quite different.
But if your amp is 2 ohm stable then you can run up to four One10 cabs, and each one you add will increase the max output and how big the rig sounds. With the Zero k7 it's the same, you can run up to four 10CR or four 12XN with all parallel wiring, or more with series/parallel (like in a Six10 or Eight10 or Four10+Two10S stack).
Glad you're loving the cabs!
Best regards,
Alex

I ended up picking up a lightly used BB3 and plan to order a Three10 when finances allow. The BB3 works very well with the Forte Hp and is certainly loud enough for my soul project. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much it puts out.

16/07/24 - Super Twin - USA
Hello! Glad to say my brand new Super Twin arrived today! Looks gorgeous and I can't wait to play it.
Probably a stupid question but ohmage always confuses me and i don't want to blow my head. To pair this with my Hillbish Beta 200 do I use both amplifier outs/cabinets ins?
Marc
--------
Hi Marc,
I presume your amp has one power amp, so just connect one out on the amp to one in on the cab! Let us know how it sounds.

Rig sounded great. Frankly I didn’t even need to crank it very much. I think because it wasn’t turned up that much it became expressive with ease. Thanks for your advice.

I’m contacting you for some help and advice regarding my Big Baby 3 bass cab which I bought second hand a couple of years ago. I’m not very technically minded so please bear with me! One of the drivers hasn’t been working properly and I think I have identified the offender as the Faital Pro 6PR 150 which although is still reading 5.7 on a multimeter seems to be distorting and making ‘scratching’ noises, the scratching is also evident when I gently press the cone in and out with my thumbs (a test I saw being undertaken on the internet). I am now considering replacing the speaker but I wonder whether you have any additional advice about this and also whether there are any ‘upgrades’ to consider when I replace.
Many thanks in advance
Elfed
--------
Hi Elfed,
That sounds like an overpowered driver, so it'll need replacing! Get the same again as the crossover is designed specifically for its frequency and impedance curves. The most likely cause is an amp heavily clipping due to insufficient power for the situation but it's very rare fault!
Best regards,
Alex

More fire power than I needed but sounded great! I’m absolutely loving this BB3 and BT3 and together they are a force to be reckoned with! That acoustic drum kit next to me with no glass wasn’t a struggle at all I had to turn my bass down to not shake the metal screws out of the tin roof in that little pavilion.
Thanks again Alex and the gang for making killer gear!
