Customer Feedback

21/11/22 - Reformer 112 (G12K-100) - UK

OK. This did the Biz. GMD on 20W, Barefaced Reformer 112 not through the PA and a fair sized venue. OK not a super loud band, but I was only on 12 o clock even at the end. Nice.

The Cab is great!

BUT, I’ve only played one gig since the pandemic started
and it looks like we are getting a big winter wave of cases here now
So no gigs until next year

I have been doing a monthly video show
the Halloween show is fairly amusing:

16/11/22 - Super Midget and Super Compact - USA

Thanks for checking in. I did receive the Super Midget (and the 2 T-shirts — thanks!) on November 8.

I had a chance to play through them this past weekend. They sounded great: full, loud, really nice. My guitar-player mate of 35+ years commented on how great the new rig sounds.

Thanks to all you Barefaced folks — your cabs are great! I’ll leave some reviews of the SC and SM on your website in the near future.

16/11/22 - Reformer 112 (Gold) - Germany

First of all, i am very happy with my reformer 112 cab.
Now looking for the new Usurper210 standard version.

I‘m reading from the description that the cab comes with both rubber feet on base (horizontal use) as well as sides (assume for vertical use).
Is that correct, can this cab being used both equally horizontally as well as vertically?

Furthermore, is the speaker wiring made in parallel, or can I at least opt for parallel wiring, just to get total 8 ohm resistance from 2 pcs G10 16 ohm, speakers?

Many thanks for your quick reply.
Hanno

Alex responds: Glad the Reformer 112 is performing well! As standard the Usurper 210 only has feet on the base (long side). You could add extra feet to use it vertically but then it won't fit in our official Barefaced cover. It works best horizontally but will still work better than a normal cab vertically. You can now select your impedance/wiring on the product page when ordering a guitar cab from us.

14/11/22 - Reformer 112 (G12H-75 Creamback) - USA

I've had 2 gigs with the Reformer 112 and absolutely love it. Since I am in 2 different bands and the other band plays many outdoor festivals, I am looking to purchase the uprising 212V but have 3 questions.
1) What Ohm ratings should those speakers be and would they be wired in parallel or series? (my current amp is a custom tube amp around 22Watts and it has an 8 Ohm output as well as a 4 Ohm output, however, I don't want to limit the possible use of other amps)
2) Could I also add my current Reformer (with an 8 Ohm speaker) to this set up and drive both cabinets?
3) Have you ever made a 4x12 monster? Or, would question #1 answer change if I wanted to drive 2 Uprising 212V cabinets?

I guess overall, I would like a 212V but didn't want to limit myself possibly expanding cabinets.
I wish I understood the Ohm speaker ratings better when expanding.
Thank you so much for your help! All who heard this cabinet these last 2 gigs were very impressed!
Cheers
Brian

Alex responds: 1. This depends on 2!
2. So as you've got an 8 ohm Reformer, I'd get a 4 ohm Uprising 212V. You can then use the Uprising on the 4 ohm tap, and if you want to use both cabs you can daisy-chain them off the 4 ohm tap for a 2.7 ohm total load (which your amp will be totally fine with).
3. We haven't made a 412 guitar cab because there's hardly any situations nowadays when it's a good idea - and because of that you're generally better off with a pair of 2x12" cabs so you can leave one behind when you don't need crazy loud output on stage.

14/11/22 - Super Compact dual cab stack - UK

As for my cabs, they are simply brilliant. I just love everything about them. I use a Handbox R400/Orange Terror 500 through them and they perform faultlessly. I do get quite a lot of compliments about my bass sound and when l think back to when l used to cart around 2 4x10 Trace cabs there's absolutely no comparison!
Just keep doing what you're doing because whatever magic it is, its absolutely spot on. Regards, Steve

11/11/22 - Big Baby 3 - USA

So I’ve had my big baby 3 for a couple months and am loving it . I have a tonehammer 700 and a ag700 as far as heads go and at 8 ohms they only put out 350 watts . That being said the cab is very loud with those amps . The tone is of course very accurate and natural . The speaker does a great job recreating what I feel is the pure tone of my music man stingray special . Now… i say all that to say this . I just found a crown power amp that was lying around church , and bridged it puts out 700 watts at 8 ohms . So I ran the preamp section of my Aggie amp to the power amp and to the bb3 and wow !!!!!! It is as loud as my 4-10 ampeg ported cab! With beautiful clarity and no distortion . I am very impressed with the engineering of this cab . And at under 30 pounds doesn’t make sense to me . Thank you for a killer product . Def the best money spent on sound gear ever I think . Although I do love my stingray

thank you very much for the wonderful new One T. Killerbox!

my supertwins haha:

11/11/22 - One10 - Netherlands

My One10 arrived earlier this week. On arrival I found the box to be dented quite a bit. The cabinet however has not suffered any damage at all thanks to the superb packaging. That really payed off so compliments for that!
What a gem that little One10 is! I tried it out at home with a Crate Power Block which isn´t even a bass amp but it gives me an idea of what a powerhouse this cabinet is. Next week I will take it to our rehearsal room and introduce it to my Eden top. I expect it to be a revelating event.
Thank you so much for your service Alex, I´m a happy camper!
Best regards,
Bert Peijmen

10/11/22 - Super Twin - USA

I'm really enjoying the Super Twin I bought from you earlier this year. I am also looking at putting together a FRFR-based set up for use with an HX Stomp modeler and a Sumo power amp. Would the Big Baby 3 be a good cabinet for that application?

Thanks!

Aaron

Alex responds: Glad to hear the ST is performing well! Yes, the BB3 is ideal for FRFR use. Is this for bass or guitar? What kind of gigs?

8/11/22 - Big Baby 3 - USA

Proud owner of the Big Baby 3 here!

Got a question about hiss.

I've been running the cab with a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.2 and it's brilliant! Today I decided to check out the Audio Form Factor BI1000DI and with gain at about 3 and master at about 3 the hiss is unbearable.

Question: Is this normal, have I just been running the Genz-Benz which outputs 375W and now hearing a 600W via the the BI1000DI or is BI1000DI just complete shit with very bad noise floor?

It sure doesn't feel/sound like a normal thing, but I haven't been around in the cab/head area enough to know if this is normal.

Cheers!
Jacob

Alex responds: Glad it's sounding great! Regarding hiss, cabs don't hiss but all amps do (to some degree). If there's a lot of hiss then it's an amp issue - usually a design/product issue, not a fixable fault. Having a few dB more power should only add a few dB more hiss if you're increasing the gain too - and a few dB isn't much anyway.

6/11/22 - Two10S - France

I receive my Two10s last Friday, on good conditions, and everything's OK. It works good!

At home, at low volume, it sounds great (with a clean sock in the port) and I'll try it soon with one of my bands.

It's easy to ear the different frequencies between the 2 speakers, and the mids and hight-mids are great (very 70's has I like)

I'll tell you more after a few times of practice

Kind regards,

Antoine, a happy bass player
