Managed to get my Reality 112 home and hooked up just in time for a 4 hour rehearsal today. Game changer. Kudos all around from band mates. Thanks for a great product. Will save up for second cab soon.

Hello from Seattle!

Quick question... I have an Uprising 212V (loaded with a Celestion Blue and a G12H70th) that I absolutely love... it's uncannily good.

I'm considering a second 212V with two of the following speakers: https://www.rawsonsparfieldloudspeakers.com/speakers

My question: Would it be possible to purchase an unloaded 212V and have Rawson Sparfield send the speakers to you for installation, as they and you are UK-based, and then ship the final product to me in the States?

Many thanks

Michael

Alex says:

Hi Michael,
Yes, that sounds a good plan! Do you know the dimensions etc of those speakers, because obviously they'll need to fit? Glad you're loving the first Uprising! How do you find the Blue/G12H combo?
Best regards,
Alex

18/08/21 - Four10 - Denmark

I thought I just drop you a line about how much I dig my Four10 after its initial run of gigs. Two very different ones- one on a large outdoor festival stage and one playing on a lawn below a pavilion to keep us dry during rain.

What can I say- coupled with my Orange AD200B, it does everything I hoped for and wanted out of replacing my Super Twin (which was amazing in its own way). It really punches, can get super deep super loudly, is an easy schlep and sounds perfect no matter  where I am in relation to it. It’s very easy to sound good and hear myself clearly in a band mix, audience digs it (so I heard after the show we played on the lawn, at the other one folks most likely heard the PA).

With the Four10, I feel I’m getting maybe a 610-killer (although I don’t know, I never use that kind of volume anyways) and at first glance it does what one would expect from the typical 410, and that is fast attack with a truly massive percussive punch, like a low-tuned drum, followed by a rather growly tone. That punch and growl is the main difference to the Super Twin.
All settings equal, the Four10 seems to have slightly less bottom end and considerably more low-mid growl.
So, at first, the Four10 is not as utterly amazing as the Super Twin, it comes across as being “just” a very very good and pretty loud 410.
The amazement comes later: When you lug it around and feel it’s literally half the weight of what you would expect or remember from other 410s. When you move around the room, be it alone or in rehearsal, and the sound stays very much the same, as opposed to vital mids disappearing while off-axis. Or, when you crank the bass knob and suddenly you have way more real low end than usual in 410-land. With better tighter sound at much higher volumes. So yes, the Four10 can sound “like” a fridge, but it can easily outperform a fridge in terms of low-end.

So, I’m very happy already, and I will probably only get happier after having spent some time with the Four10 and the drivers have loosened up.

I’m a very happy owner of a One10, Two10, and Four10. I love them, and never want anything else, ever.

Hi Alex,

Yesterday the cab finally arrived. I had the day off, so I could test a lot.

First of all, man, what an awesome cab. Never heard such a good cab before.

First test in my living room. Had an ENGL 212 with WGS ET65/Invader, drivers I personally like(d) a lot. Played some time to get the tone. Then plugged in to the Radical212. Wow, what a power and clarity is coming out of the box. Just couldn't stop smiling and playing. So much better and the ENGL is a cab which is known a very good one. And even I was not son in the Vintage 30 driver, when I heard them before in all other cabs. Was ok, but here. Love them man... Wow.

Then on the roof rehearsal room. Very very difficult sound situation here. Slanting walls, even walls, very harsh and ice picky sound directly in front of the box, when you move away from the front of the box the sound gets very dark. No power coming to you, even you play very loud, everything sounds thin. We played some times there with my band and it is always a fight with the sound. Plugged in the barefaced, wow. Powerful sound that is almost the same in the whole room. You here a noticeable difference in sound, but way way better. As I said, very very difficult situation there. But it works great.

Then in the big rehearsal room. Today competed against the ENGL 412. You know the answer. The Radical was much clearer, more powerful, louder with the same amp settings, more cutting thru the mix I assume. Outstanding.

And no thoughts about swapping speakers. Just love for the one :D

Now I am selling three ENGL 412 and one ENGL 212 on eBay and will carry my new loved Barefaced around.

I just can congratulate you to your work, passion, time, money,...you put in your cabs. They are as great as you describe it.

I think my wife will order her bass cab in the next weeks, maybe month, but she definitely will :D

So enough words, just wanna play :D

Stay healthy and best regards,

Daniel

Just wanted to say thanks again. Its become my favorite FRFR, and it helped me sell my Mission Engineering Gemini which was too heavy.

The cab arrived safe and the first tests with the SVT Skunkworks are just WOW !
Warm, round, accurate, powerful, even at low volume... A pleasure to play, feel like my fingers are directly connected to the speakers.
The tweeter is definitely a great add-on for the use with the Synthi.
Bigger in sound and smaller in size than what I expected. It's amazing how such a small cab can sound so huge.

I'm super happy with my purchase.

Many thanks for your great work and service.

Hi Alex
I hope you and all your family and friends are well at this time.
My cabinet arrived yesterday - chappers got it bang on - THIS IS THE BEST CAB I'VE EVER USED!
I'm actually a harmonica player - use a rig like a guitarist but use a preamp to fine tune the gain structure to use standard guitar amps/effects etc.
The AVD device is exactly what I need as a harmonica player - it allows me to hear my tone and dial in my sound  no matter where I stand.

Can't wait to get out and gig with it once this Covid'19 settles.

On a much happier note, here’s the big fancy rig I’ve been dreaming of for years!

Thanks again to the barefaced team!

Thanks for building another excellent cab. Came just at the right time

as we are having a shelter in place order here in Santa Cruz. Maybe that long delay was good after all, now I have lots of time to break it in.

All the best

Sebastian
