Still loving my Super Twin T bass cab.

Question: I have a Hartke LH1000. To run the bridged 1000W amp the manual says I need a 4 pole speakon cable. Does this jive with the speakon jack on the cab, or is it only 2 pole? I mean, the 500W sides are still cool, just want to see what this thing can do!

Leon

Hi Leon,

Yes, you probably need to go 1+ 2+ on the amp end and 1+ 1- on the cab end. So the latter can be a 2 or 4 pole speakon.

Let us know what difference you notice!

Alex

I haven’t fully got to grips with it yet but this combination is pretty good. It’s just about loud enough for a medium sized lounge.
Good job I have an understanding wife.

Hi there,

I’ve been using a super twin in a my main rig for years and really enjoyed it, I did a smaller show yesterday where the PA failed and I offered my set up to put some vocals and guitar through it. As I have the model with no tweeter it sounded understandably muffled and a bit lo-fi.

Would you open to putting the matching tweeter in a separate enclosure allowing for flexibility in different situations, completely understand if not.

Sincerely,

Luke

Hi Luke,

Although we could do that it would be really expensive and I'm not sure anyone would want to pay for it!

Best regards,

If you are on the fence about getting a powered One10, hop off quick! You love your One10 already, get them a powered buddy! My stereo One10 KILLED (with the help of my Two10) at our outdoor park gig yesterday.

I have a Super Twin cabinet and have today taken delivery of an Ampeg Venture V12 to drive it. I was surprised to see my usual Speakon Cable won't go into the Ampeg. I've now discovered that it needs 'NL2' type connectors and won't take anything else. I can only find NL2 to NL2 cables online - the question is, will an NL2 cable fit into my Supertwin? I have been able to find an NL2 to 1/4" Jack which I guess will work but I prefer not to use Jack cables if I can avoid it.

Any other suggestions?

Many thanks

Jack

02/07/25 - Super Twin T - USA

I'm in a 4-piece rock band and we don't play coffee houses or low volume background music so this Super Twin T has been working out very well.

I've played Ashdown ABM 600, Gallien Krueger 800S Fusion, Mesa D800+ and Genzler Kinetix 800 heads through it and they all sounded quite good but this Bergantino HP Ultra is the best of the lot with this particular cab IME. The HP/LP filters, modern/vintage voicing, tube emulation, drive and nice onboard compressor add some good mojo to the EQ bands, punch, and bright buttons. The large amount of headroom on tap make this sound good both at lower volumes as well as when turning it up to match with a hard-hitting drummer.

The Super Twin T is a low-end cannon with excellent tone and definition which is marvelous with the ample headroom of the HP Ultra. I've received a lot of positive feedback from both bandmates and the audience about how solid the bass tone is. My lower back isn't up for heavy lifting anymore so I wanted a one-cab solution with enough power (along with FOH when needed) to handle any gig that was also easy to transport. The castors, placement of the 3 handles, and protective cover make this easy to get in and out of my SUV.

Quite pleased with this investment.

Looking impeccable in the practice space. The cab is a monster! So much more low end than the Two10S I was running and also more clarity and punch. I really love it! Can't wait for the first gig, in ~10 days.

Worth the wait, thanks team!

30/06/25 - Upsizing 1215BB - NL

Good afternoon!

I've been using your Upsizing 1215BB mostly with 2 amps now (an Ampeg V2 and a Peavey Bass Mark III 400BH because the Ampeg alone still struggles to produce enough low end), and came to the conclusion that for when there's space, the Peavey deserves its own cab.

Would you think a Six10 or Six10T would be the right call there? Consider that most of my instruments are more guitar than bass... with some overlap at times due to tunings (KC Jag with EGC baritone neck tuned to octave tuning and flat, so low D#1 for example), and I do also have a bass guitar incoming. For dirt pedals and such it depends on the guitar, with 7 string (which is tuned to F) I use a JPTR FX Death Saw (HM2 with clean blend and bass boost... kinda) into the Peavey after using a KMA Tyler Deluxe to split off low passed signal for the bass amp (and a Muff style fuzz with added HM2 tone stack in parallel with the Muff tone stack into just the Ampeg), for the Jag I use a Does It Doom Elder God before the Tyler Deluxe (so goes to both amps).

Somehow the HM2-ness gets a bit too much with the Jag. The bass guitar is a Yamaha BB735A, not sure where that will go tuning wise yet.

For some context: doom metal two piece, just drummer and myself with ridiculous guitar tunings and too many amps to compensate for lack of bass player.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Kind Regards,

Rogier

Hi Rogier,

Six10 I think! I don't think you'll need the tweeter with the Upsizing going too! How's the Upsizing compared to your old rig?

Best regards,

Alex

Sounds like the regular Six10 should be a good fit then indeed. Was also looking at the 12” cabs you make but I feel like that’s decidedly not what I’d want tone wise. They sound great, don’t get me wrong, but far too precise to fit into a wall of fuzz well. I can definitely see why you’d prefer them yourself though.

30/06/25 - Activier One10T - USA

Hi guys,

I received the [Activier] One10T and it sounds great. I tried it up against a fender rumble and 4x10 I was using in a rehearsal space. It was so much more defined, especially all through the mids section (precision bass with flats)

I found another use for it you may be interested to hear about. I got some bookshelf speakers (Kanto Ora) for home use and they have a subwoofer out with crossover. I hooked up the One10T (single RCA to 1/4”) and adjusted the volume to taste, perfect. So much better than buying a subwoofer. No phase issues.

Now I can put my One10T to work when I’m not gigging.

Thanks

Dominic

28/06/25 - Two10S - UK

I have a Two10, which I love. However, I never use it horizontally - plenty enough bass when it's vertical and many pubs and clubs are tight on space as well. How easy would it be to fit another handle on the top (or end!) as it's difficult to get a grip to manoeuvre it when it's vertical.

Would I need to do some disassembly to install the bolts or could I screw it on using a plug or cavity fixing? Worried I might drill through a cone or something!

Kind regards,

Simon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Simon,

We do occasionally fit portrait position top handles and for that we drill the holes on the CNC machine and fit t-nuts. So do it it properly you'd need to take the grill off and drivers out etc. Obviously if you have a standard cover then it'll cover the handle hole. We can sell you the parts if you fancy some DIY. Glad you're loving the cab though!

Best regards,

Alex
