Hello team @ Barefaced!

Firstly I just wanted to let you know that I'm absolutely loving the clarity and loudness I'm getting from the Super Compact T in conjunction with my Quilter Bass Block.

I did have a concern about the tweeter knob though, specifically how the top of it juts out above the rest of the cabinet instead of being flush. The knob has already been scraped from transport and I'm worried that I might mess up the knob's internals if it pushes against another surface at the wrong angle.

Is there an easy way to pry off the knob so that I can look for a replacement with a lower profile? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you!

Keeping it lightweight with the Fender “pretender”

I now have 2 of your One10 cabinets. One with a tweeter and the newest one without.

I love the sound of these and wanted to thank you again.

Hi Alex,

at the weekend, I played with the band in a small venue. The Reality Cabinet really worked extremely good. That’s where it really shows off its full potential. It felt like a friend on stage right from the very first moment. Because of the tight space, I had to place it to my front-left, and in terms of sound, that wouldn’t have been possible with any other cabinet. So cool. That was also the moment when the rest of the band were won over by Barefaced.

There was no sign of overemphasised frequencies in that environment. My guess is that the dynamics of the Reality are so much clearer than with other cabinets that the room’s beat frequency is addressed much stronger. And that this frequency is ‘charged up’ overall. Very interesting.

So, now I ask you for your help and advice.

I still have a Fender Concert Head (1982), which I’ve been using with a Marshall cabinet (4 x Celestion G12-65) up until now. The Marshall cabinet had become too big and heavy for me. I sold it and bought the Reality Active Cab instead, so I can use it with the UAFX Dream 65.

Do you have any recommendations for me as to which of your cabinets would now best suit the tube amp?
I really liked the rounder, less aggressive sound of the Marshall cabinet and the G12-65s since I’m playing a lot of clean "Mayery" Strat Sounds. I didn’t like condensed frequency spectrum and the the ‘wobbly’ part of it.
My options would be:

· Usurper 210H / 112W (which speakers?)
· Radical 212H / 115 / 112SW (2 x Celestion G12-65)
· Uprising 212V (2 x Celestion G12-65)

Thx and regards

Volker

Hi Volker,

That's great to hear!

If I were you I'd go for a dual AVD Radical 212H with 65 Heritage speakers.

Here's the Dual AVD customisation option:

After years of lugging heavy Peaveys & Ampegs around, I discovered Barefaced cabs that weigh almost less than my wife's handbag, and couldn't believe how immense the sound is from something so light.

Rock on,

Derek
