How can so much volume, so much midrange punch, so much fat bottom and such sweet venue-filling treble come from a cab that's so easy to move?
The purity of two 12XN drivers in a highly optimised enclosure, no tweeters, no crossover - just added simplicity. Replaces cabs twice its size and many times its weight. Goes loud with very little power, goes VERY LOUD with loads. As always with Barefaced, outstanding dispersion because that matters

I purchased a Super Twin from you in 2018 and it has been fantastic and I have loved using it.
However, I have dropped out of playing live over the last couple of years and I don't really see myself playing the same types of gigs in the future. As such, the cab is just sitting in my house these days not getting any use.
Would you be interested in purchasing it from me, sprucing it up and reselling onto someone who will give it a good home? I have looked after and, as such, it is still in good condition, with just a couple of minor "scuff" marks on the rear. Obviously I understand you would need more details from me but I'm interested in the potential concept for now.

Hi Stuart,
Sorry, we don't get involved in resales or trade-ins, it's just a complication too much for us! However, our cabs always seem to be in high demand when sold through the usual channels. Glad you enjoy it when you were playing LOUD!
Best regards,
Alex

Thanks for responding so quickly, I will do down the private route.
And yes, I did enjoy playing it LOUD! (my ears and the rest of the band may not have enjoyed it so much!)

I love the cab. I've placed it on an acoustic board (from a hifi table) and levelled the feet. It also has its own magic carpet. It's a shrine to good sound.
The silver has grown on me. Matches the One10. They have a Phil Jones each.
Aguilar cabs all up for sale.
Keep up the good work

I took a wander into the crowd during the show and was blown away by how good I sounded. It exceeded all of my expectations and it's the first time I've realised how much of a difference the cab makes (seems silly now)

Hi Alex,
I ordered from Bass Direct a secondhand SuperTwin first generation and also found a BB2 secondhand for rehearsal time with the older logo.
Both arrived today and so far I’m very impressed
Could you tell me roughly how old based on serial numbers?
ST = S327
BB2 = B432
Both look like new still!
Regards
Martin

Hi Martin,
The Super Twin is early 2020, the BB2 is mid 2017! Let us know how you get on with them!
Best regards,
Alex

Hello
I’m the happy owner/player of a gen 3 Barefaced Super Twin.
I’ve had it for years and enjoyed, however I am now wondering if I should look into downsizing the cab… so thought about asking your unbiased advise
For context: I play in a loudish psychedelic rock bands, 90% of the time I play in 100-200 people venues with PA support where I send an xlr output to main desk. Using my cab slightly tilted as a stage monitor, playing 4 string passive basses with effects, and a high pass filter around 50-75hz. General driven or distorted tone into a PF-500 bass head (500w solid state amp), with master rarely above 12-13 hours on the dial.
So, while I enjoy the overall sense of headroom and volume authority I don’t know how my CJ is really the big cab and how much is placebo, and I should look into downsizing (easier transport, less stage size, etc…
What would be your advise?
Thanks in advance,
Jaime
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Jaime,
If you've got your master volume above halfway then there's a fair chance you're using full power some of the time - loudish psychedelic rock sounds like the SPL that better suits a Super Twin than a Super Compact. You could try cranking the rig up louder in rehearsal and finding when it starts sounding really obviously clipped/compressed, then that'll give us an idea of if you've got the rig headroom to downsize.
Best regards,
Alex

My Super Twin is turning eight years old.
I play a Wyn 5 string bass with Norstrand pickups and use a Aguilar AG500 amp. I play mostly blues but cover other jaunras as well. Every sound guy plugs into my amp, at the end of the evening they tell me they didn't put me in the mix because the Super Twin filled the room. I can get a 40hz wave out of it that moves people's clothing and is now referred to as liquid bass. How cool. (I am not playing loud)
When people tell me that I sound great I just say of have a great bass and I point at the Super Twin...
Thank you, thank you, thank you

I did a gig with my non T Super Twin last night and I can echo everything [Claes] said.
I couldn’t imagine needing more than this ever.

Once again, I’m extremely satisfied with my Super Twin T.
I’ve done several concerts and rehearsals with it, and it’s incredibly clear across the entire frequency range. Deep bass, a well-defined midrange, and a clear top end.
So punchy!

The new cab sounds unreal! Can't wait to dive in deeper! A bit disappointed the baffle color (Eldorado) didn't match the previous 2x10's I purchased. I'll likely never have them in public together so not that big of a deal.
Keep up on the great work! Thanks again!

Hi guys,
The [replacement] wheels arrived this morning and are now fitted ready for this weekend's gigs - thanks for the great service!
Purely FYI, here are some pics of the old wheels (ignore the yellow bits on the rubber, that's the glue I tried using to hold it in place as a very temporary bodge for the last practice).
The wheel lasted 15 years of probably an average of at least fortnightly use so I can't really complain and the speaker itself is still going strong and sounding as awesome as ever.

Hi Alex,
I have a Super Twin T, which I have tested at home with my double bass, and I am very pleased with the sound.
The only issue I am facing is transport: unfortunately, I cannot fit both the double bass and the cabinet in my car. For that reason, I am looking for a smaller cabinet solution.
I have read several comments on your website from players who use a double bass and seem very happy with the One10. Based on your experience, what would you recommend for double bass use - a 10” or a 12” cabinet?
Thank you in advance for your advice
Claes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Claes,
If you really like the sound of the STT with your double bass then a Super Mini T will sound like a quieter and less fat version, and it's much smaller! The One10T isn't as accurate and can't go as loud (two One10 = one SMT for max output) b
Best regards,
Alex

I have a Super Twin T with silver grill cloth. Paired with my 5-string basses and Bergantino HP Ultra head, it delivers a solid, well-voiced tone with enough headroom to handle all my indoor and outdoor gigs. I’m also pleased that a cab this capable is so easy to transport.

I love my Super Twin! It is, hands down, the most impressive bass cabinet I have ever played through (and I’ve played through nearly everything out there over the last 30 years).
I’ve used my Super Twin paired with my EBS 750 head - for multiple outdoor gigs with no P/A support and it has been up to the task.

Thank you so much for the amazing service, you and all the Barefaced team are fantastic.
It really does look great, it sounds gorgeous, even though it’s still settle’n in.
It’s so quick and responsive, my Eich T1000 absolutely sings through it.
Thank you so much for making these wonderful things exist
Once again, thank you for going the extra mile and all the hard work you guys do 🙏
My best wishes and gratitude,
Leon

Hi, How much would a Super Compact 3rd be, with silver cloth and a square typeface badge to match my Super Twin be?
The manual for my amp says 1x 4 Ohm or 2x 8 Ohm loads is fine so now I want a stack. Obviously!
Simon
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Simon,
It's the same price as the Super Compact!
However, I don't think your current amp will drive that stack - the ST is 4 ohms and the S3rd 8 ohms, so 2.7 ohm in parallel.
Best regards,
Alex
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Alex.
On one hand that's a shame, it would look so damn cool. On the other, my wallet is breathing a sigh of relief and really with my GK 500 and a Supertwin I'm in no danger of not being heard anyway :)

Got the ST a week now. Everything was very well packaged and in perfect condition on arrival.
Set it up at home. Plugged my Jad Freer Sisma in and damn, it immediately sounded fantastic!
I had a longer description first but I'll keep it short. Everything the website says about the cab is spot on! It's smooth in the highs, honest, fat if you want, easy to carry and VERY loud!
Definitely the best cab I've ever had and the best I've ever sounded!

I want to pass something exciting along to you regarding my Super Twin T.
I used to own Ashdown ABM cabs from ~2005 (UK, not China): a 4x10T and a compact 1x15. These were paired with an ABM 500 EVO II head. I sold the cabs and bought some old Trace Elliot cabs that were recommended to me (a 2x10 with replacement Neo drivers, and a 1x15). I kept the Ashdown head, but was using a Genz-Benz Streamliner 900 because I liked hearing the extra headroom and its incredibly light weight. But the combination of the TE cabs and this amp didn’t sound great on gigs.
When my Super Twin T arrived, I plugged it into the Genz-Benz amp. It sounded good, but I was struck by a sound that I can only describe as “hollow,” if that makes sense.
On a whim, I pulled my Ashdown head out of the closet and pugged it into the Super Twin T. My goodness, it sounds amazing. That hollowness is gone. Every bass I have sounds better. There’s plenty of detail and nuance, plus there is a weight and authority to the notes that is incredibly satisfying.
Perhaps you’ll know why this happens. All I really know is that playing through this amp and cab is an incredibly engaging and satisfying experience. I just wanted to pass this along.
