I have a Two10, which I love. However, I never use it horizontally - plenty enough bass when it's vertical and many pubs and clubs are tight on space as well. How easy would it be to fit another handle on the top (or end!) as it's difficult to get a grip to manoeuvre it when it's vertical.

Would I need to do some disassembly to install the bolts or could I screw it on using a plug or cavity fixing? Worried I might drill through a cone or something!

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,

We do occasionally fit portrait position top handles and for that we drill the holes on the CNC machine and fit t-nuts. So do it it properly you'd need to take the grill off and drivers out etc. Obviously if you have a standard cover then it'll cover the handle hole. We can sell you the parts if you fancy some DIY. Glad you're loving the cab though!

Best regards,

Alex

I own 2x One10's and 1x Two10 retro cabinets... Yes, I am still very pleased with them :D

[used the Two10 on its own yesterday: outdoors 20pc big band gig and it was exemplary.. what a fabulous cab!]

?'s:

1. One of my drivers I think is damaged... delivers expected SPL OK but gives a paper scraping type sound - not as bad as a fuzzbox, but the others are clean.

Double bass esp my NS-CR5 which is a beast, has done this... Repairable??

2. I would like be able to raise them up using short speaker stands (35mm socket) for better projection and ear-level stereo spread...

If I use top-hats mounted underneath (similar to PA speakers) how would having the cylinders penetrating 65mm into the cabinet affect the sound/tone - or is there even internal space to do this (in line with the C of G) ??

3. I see you now have 2x way variants (T's) of these cabs. Is it feasible to retro-fit these tweeters, and if so at what cost?

Kindly advise

p.s. I am intrigued by the prospect of a pair of Big Baby 3's...

Next time there's a trip to/near Brighton planned I would like to arrange a test.

Many thanks for your esteemed contributions - and providing the generous and most comprehensive tech data on sound anywhere in the Universe..! :D
All the best

Geof

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Geof,

Good to hear from you!

1. The 10CR is replaceable - we don't have recone kits.

2. We do fit top-hats like that as an option. We reinforce the inside of the cab and you have to be careful to make sure it'll clear the driver magnet but I think that's only an issue on the One10T.

3. It's impossible to retrofit the tweeters - almost every panel is different to get the tweeter etc to fit.

Let us know when you'd like to visit!

Alex

Thanks again for the fast delivery, Premium Quality work

I had the BB2 Gen 3, now I have the Two10; two different worlds

But definitely above the others :
Efficiency (SPL, this is what I call powerfully)
Diffusion (wide)
Transient response
Sound signature: musical I the lows, low mids, high mids , trebles (far enough even without tweeter)
Sealed and ported, best of both worlds
Style and design signature

My config: D800+ PB’62 + TI jazz flats and effectrode PC2A (tube compression)

I should have  bought BAREFACED already 20 years ago

Merci beaucoup

I must say that I'm delighted with the three cab modular set-up.

Over the past years it's been really good to see how well your business venture has taken off.

Looks great! Sounds great too! Looking forward to putting it to use this Friday with a Nashville singer making a swing through New Mexico.

On your recommendation I acquired a Two10 to go with my Four10 and it works perfectly with my orange AD200 and Terror Bass amps. How is a Two10 sounding that big? So pleased with it.

I have a Two10 cab I ordered in 2016. Still love this thing! I'm considering to pair this with another Two10 when I'm playing larger venues, but i'm uncertain if its actually doable to pair it with the newer models? And would it somehow be possible to order it with the old design, so a new cab would match the old one??

Cheers

Mathias

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well as your Two10 (4 ohm) has a cloth grill we can do a matching Two10S with the old badge if you add this customisation:

https://barefacedaudio.com/products/old-badge-block-style-not-script-style

If your amp is a 2 ohm minimum load then it'll be fine driving the pair with the Two10S @ 4 ohms. If it's 2.7 or 4 ohm minimum load then you'll need to upgrade the Two10 to a Two10S using this kit:

https://barefacedaudio.com/products/two-10-switch-kit?variant=21500318679098

Then you'll be able to use either cab at 4 or 12 ohms, so the two cab stack will be 6 ohm nominal load which all amps are v happy with and gets pretty much full 4 ohm power. Hope that all makes sense!

Best regards,

Alex

A bit cramped in the engine room on Saturday, but the 2x10's performed impeccably as usual. Thanks all at HQ 👍

I have a One10 cab that I bought from you and have LOVED for the past bunch of years. Just got a used Two10S through talk bass, and had a question about impedance:

Your "Using multiple 10CR cabs" page recommends pairing the One10 at 8 ohms with the Two10S at 4 ohms for a combined 2.7 ohms. I have an amp (Acoustic Image Clarus SL-2) that can run at 2 ohms, but I was wondering about pairing the One10 at 8 ohms with the Two10S at 12 ohms for a combined 4.8 ohms, instead.

First of all, is my math correct (would it be 4.8 ohms)? Secondly, why do you recommend the 2.7 ohms over the 4.8 ohms? I don't know which would be better, so I am set to follow your advice of 2.7 ohms, but I'm wondering the reasoning behind your recommendation. Is a lower resistance better for the amp? My amp says 2 ohms minimum, but it doesn't say anything about a maximum - is a higher resistance harder on the amp (is more heat than sound produced)?

Curious to learn a little more about this - thanks for your time, and thanks for building great cabs.

Loving the pairing of these cabinets (at 2.7 ohms, so far).

Alex

Hi Alex,

Glad you've been loving the One10! Hope the Two10S addition works well for you - and thanks for finding that article, not everything on our site is very easy to find. Do spread the Barefaced word!

Thank you for your time a couple of weeks ago and apologies for the false alarm. I’ve used the 210 with an Ampeg pf500 for two gigs since then and had great feedback from the crowd. Really happy with it and my back is happy too!

Keep up the good work and thanks again.

Hi Alex.

My Ampeg PF 500 died and I now have a Blackstar elite 700H. What a difference. My 210ST has come to life. Very happy.

Hello Barefaced team,

I’m enjoying the 2x10 Cab!! I think it is still breaking in as I’ve only played 2 shows at gig volume on it. I did want to inquire about your thoughts/recommendations on a good amplifier to pair this cab with.

I currently use a GK MB-200 and I don’t have any issues with needing more volume but this head is very simple and you can’t dial in any drive so it’s a bit sterile. I have used my Mesa Walkabout head and it sounds pretty good but it’s heavy and is impossible to carry in a backpack.

Playing a Music Man Stingray 4. Mostly covers, ranging from Fall Out Boy, the Killers, the Struts, foo fighters, ect.

On a side note, I was in a guitar shop today looking to get my Music Man set-up and they had a Genzler Classic 2x10 cab with Magellan 350 head and it sounded wonderful with my music man.

Thanks,

Josh

Hi Josh,

You're probably best off taking your Two10 to a guitar shop and trying some heads!

Alex

I got home from holidays and was finally able to put together my new rig. I'm in love with these speaker cabinets. I love the 1x12 but that 2x10 has incredible tone just like you said. They sound great together as well. I think the 2x10 will be my go-to most of the time. Thanks again for all your help and for making such an incredible product.

I am promoting you  quite a bit on the Facebook pages that I belong to for bass players.

I have two One10’s which i run with my Ashdown Mag600.

Very happy.

An Ashdown Mag 900 has recently come my way which would be nice to use on bigger gigs.

This has two separate outputs which will both run loads down to 4ohm.

Amp can’t be bi-amped.

Just checking its OK to use either a Two10S (on 4ohm) or another pair of One10’s (in parallel).

I appreciate that a Two10 is 2” deeper than a One10.

Thanks

Andy

--------------------------------------

Hi Andy,

ABM 900 is two 600W-ish amps in one box so that'll be 4 ohms on each side, so could run a Two10S @ 4 on one side and two One10 cabs on the other side.

Best regards,

Alex

27/11/24 - Four10 - USA

Last year I bought a Four10 from you. I absolutely love it. But I was thinking about a 6x10. My question is can I add a Two10 to this rig? I have the 8 ohm cab now. I run either a GK Legacy 800 or a GK 1001RB. Both cabs are capable of 4ohms. Both are highly 800 watts at 4 ohm. The legacy can go to 2ohms.

Matt

-----------------------------------------------

Hi Matt,

Glad you're loving the Four10! Yes, you can add a Two10S. Switch it to 12 ohms to stack on the Four10 and have a 6x10CR rig with 4 ohm impedance and all six drivers sharing the power equally. And on its own you can switch it to 4 ohm to free up more amp headroom or keep it at 12 ohms to pull the power back to about 2/3 of the 8 ohm power rating.

Well…. I’m rarely lost for words, but…. The new 2x10 has landed and has joined my other two 2x10 cabs…. Well…

The difference between going from 4x10 to 6x10 is MASSIVE, I was not expecting that. I guess because the Mesa Boogie is now putting out 800 watts into 4 ohms that really helps too, but I WAS NOT EXPECTING such a monumental increase in power and volume. To be honest the 4x10 rig got a bit pushed to near its comfortable limit at some gigs but I can tell that even with our drummer trying to out hit Bonzo and our guitarist with his Marshall stack I will still be very much heard, and felt. Couldn’t be more happy.

I received the Two10T yesterday, I greatly appreciate the expediency, how this was handled, and the amazing service you at Barefaced provided.

I’m super happy with the new cab.

I absolutely love all my Barefaced cabs (One10T, Two10T, Super Mini T and Super Compact T), they all sound amazing!

Thank you so much for everything.
