12/12/24 - Upsizing 212V (OverTonez Thick Boy + BN12-300S) - Germany
This cabinet is a monster!
Especially with low tuned guitars and baritone it's a dream of a sound, massive, dirty, heavy, brutal, impressive...
I only adjusted the volume about 2 of my Amp1 Mercury on the clean channel and it was mind blowing.
Our bassist played also his bass with this cabinet and it sounded good.
We tried different settings, different guitars, different music styles and I find out it's not the perfect cabinet for blues with a Stratocaster... but this doesn't matter... It's the perfect cabinet for different metal styles and heavy rock styles, stoner, doom...
Now I'm thinking about a 1x12 with a G12-M 65 Creamback with the same colours... maybe next year

Hi Alex
My Three10T with my new One10 sounds incredible.
I'm about to buy a Fender Rumble 800HD amp, I've noticed on the back of the amp it has a 8/4 ohm and 2 ohm switch. I presume I leave it in the 8/4 ohm position? How many watts would that run?
Many thanks,
Steve
-------------------------------------------
Hi Steve,
Yes, leave it in 8/4. It'll be about 800W with the full stack or with the Three10 on its own. If you were playing very hot sunny outdoor gigs I'd say switch it to 2 ohms then but you're in the UK so that's not going to be happening!
Best regards,
Alex

My BB3 arrived last Friday .
I would like to thank you for the excellent packaging! The parcel had several bumps and bruises on the outside, but the BB3 took no damage thanks to the multiple layers of cardboard and foam inserts.
Excellent work. I am really looking forward to taking the BB3 on the road.

Hello! I saw your video on 212BB:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?
I am very interested in purchasing one, and want to be sure I'm making the best selections to order:
Currently I have Upsizing 212/1215/215 and the Bass-Baritone Hybrid Upsizing in my cart. Is there anything else you recommend?
I want to use it for playing Baritone Guitar using a Tube Amp, and 4 string bass guitar using a Forte D Bass Amp (not at the same time, but separately) I currently own a Reformer 112 and I love it! So was planning on buying a bass cab from you, but seeing the video, I would love one that works for Bass & Baritone!!
So, please let me know what you advise.
(I should mention I was planning on picking up a Big Baby 3, and stacking my Reformer 112 on top until I saw your 212BB video.
Thanks!

Hi Matt,
Great, this sounds a perfect reason for the 212BB! Here's what to order:

What guitar driver do you fancy for the 12" at the top? What's in your Reformer?
Best regards,
Alex

Perfect! So glad I asked before ordering.
I have a vintage 30
Do you recommend the same?
Matt

Hi Matt,
The V30 is certainly a safe choice. However, we're big fans of the Redback, Cream and Copperback as higher power options.
Versus the V30, the Redback is thicker and less midrangey, the Cream is smoother and the Copperback is more detailed. Have a look through our youtube, we've definitely compared them all at some point. I'd probably go for the Copperback because it's so loud and honest and clear and handles a ton of power and is hilariously light in weight.

Could not be happier with my BB3 cab , I'm pairing it with the new Boss Katana-500 bass amp and it's the best bass rig I have ever used... period!

Hi team
I have two One10 speakers that are my 'go to' speakers for gigs. I love them. I'd like some advice on placement and stacking of them.
I sometimes put a small block of wood (approx 30mm) under the front of the speaker to tilt it up. This seems to help with clarity of sound depending on type of floor, covering and height of stage to audience. If I do this and I’m stacking two together, I'm thinking of angling the top speaker with a similar sized piece of wood on the rear of the top speaker to provide a flat surface for my amp to sit on. What would angling speakers in this orientation (as a single or stacked ) do to the sound from these speakers? Is it better to have them flat on the floor (pointing horizontal). When stacked having both flush front and vertical or can they be angled like this?
I'd be interested in your thoughts and advise on this.
Thank you
Chris

Hi Chris,
The best thing with this stuff is to just experiment and trust your ears, whilst also questioning whether you're hearing what you want to hear because of assumptions (which may be inaccurate) and if you're really hearing what you think. Glad you're loving them!

Alex

Your/my speakers sound GREAT!!!
I have now played some concerts with the set-up, and I'm blown away.
Small speakers but HUGE sound.
Incredibly happy.

I own an Upsizing cab and it’s my favourite cab I own. It’s just an amazing tool for my studio and recording.
I was wondering if you could make a custom sized cab for the 18" speaker so it won’t be as Tall as the Upsizing. Is that something you could do?
Ido
----------------------------------------------
Hi Ido,
We could but it would be very expensive! Whenever we design a new model we assume the design time will be spread across lots of units. Not as much as a Dumble amp but probably Gibson custom shop guitar realm - there's a lot of man-hours in a new design!

My new Barefaced One10 arrived this morning. It looks fantastic.
I was wondering, there is a tab at the bottom of the grill. Does it mean I can remove it if I wanted to? I didn’t want to try that before I asked you guys?
Many thanks,
Steve
------------------------------------
Hi Steve,
That's to take the grill off if the driver ever needs replacing or some fault-finding is required - but I don't recommend removing it for any other reason. Let us know how it sounds!
Best regards,
Alex
09/10/24 - Big Baby 2 - UK
Hi,
I have a Big Baby 2 and it seems to have started distorting on the low notes ( C on the 3rd string downwards).
I've read through your troubleshooting guide and I've taken all the steps suggested re: different leads, basses etc but the problem is consistent. As far as I can tell the sound is coming from the centre of the speaker cone. Adjusting the tweeter appears to make no difference. I have had the cabinet for a few years and it has been used 2 or 3 times a month but has never been pushed hard- the biggest amp I use is 300watts.
Can you help? Thanks,
Andy
--------------------------------------
Hi Andy,
Sorry to hear about this! It looks like your cab was purchased by Andertons in mid 2020 so it's out of warranty but we can sell you a replacement speaker which will solve the problem. It doesn't sound like you've blown it but it's had far too many hours of use to be a manufacturing fault in the normal sense - a bad glue joint on a dustcap is usually found in final QC here or goes on the first few gigs. Here's the link to the replacement driver:
https://barefacedaudio.com/
Hope it was sounding good until this happened!
Best regards,
Alex
--------------------------------------
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the prompt reply and I was obviously aware that it was out of warranty - I think I was just hoping you'd send me magic spell to fix it!
It is a little bit disappointing to have to replace the speaker on such an expensive item given the amount of use I've had out of it , but these things happen and I think your offer is very reasonable in the circumstances.
I'll order the replacement now - is there anything I need to know about removing the old one and fitting the new one?
Thanks for your help and yes, it was sounding very good before the problem arise!
Thanks
Andy

Hello Alex,
The cabinet arrived in good condition!
It looks absolutely perfect! Great!
Tomorrow I will play with my band and I will try this little monster for the first time...
I know it will sound fabulous.
Maybe I make a short video.
Best regards

I got home from holidays and was finally able to put together my new rig. I'm in love with these speaker cabinets. I love the 1x12 but that 2x10 has incredible tone just like you said. They sound great together as well. I think the 2x10 will be my go-to most of the time. Thanks again for all your help and for making such an incredible product.
I am promoting you quite a bit on the Facebook pages that I belong to for bass players.
