25/11/24 - One10 - USA
Hello, I recently purchased a used One10, and I really enjoy it.
Am I correct in viewing the Activier as a clean pre & power amp capable of powering two One10 cabinets? Can I plug my passive bass directly into the Activier and gig with it? Also, the utilitarian minimalism of the Zero k7 prototype is so wonderful.
I'm tempted to put down a deposit, but I worry that the amp will become bigger or more complex. Will you post updates as you develop it? Thank you.
David

Hi David,
Yes, you can plug any bass straight into the Activier. It's like a zero EQ amp head that's built into a cab. The Zero k7 is getting closer to production. We won't be making it bigger or more complex - we have a more complex sister amp which has all the extra EQ that some bassists prefer. The reason for the Zero's name was "zero EQ" and we've already moved quite far from that with bass and treble shelving and the high pass filter, so we'll not be adding more! Glad you're enjoying your One10!
Best regards,
Alex
25/11/24 - Super Compact - Netherlands
A few years ago a bought a Super Compact with 12" speaker.
I like to buy me a second one for the gigs am playing now.
I am very satisfied with the sound and I think with two my bass will sound perfect.
But any advice from you will be appreciated. What is the best price?
Regards,
Fried Holtkamp

Hi Fried,
Glad you're pleased with your Super Compact. Adding a second one will give you a lot more output for bigger gigs. What amp will you be using? The only price is the price on our website - just pick the options you want!
Best regards,
Alex

Just to say, my Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2 Class-D amp, atop a stack of two One-10s, looks a pretty picture. And it stands the test of time on pub gigs here in Ireland.
I usually point one One10 towards the audience to get the juice of my amplification up close, the other One10 towards me as a kick-ass monitor, and the rest DI into the desk and over the PA, with some compression, and room eq if we are bothered haha...
I feel very lucky with my setup, if I'm honest. You guys are central to that experience, Barefaced...![]()
Many thanks from Ireland,
Eanna
08/11/24 - Big Twin 2 - UK
I have very recently become the proud owner of a Barefaced Big Twin 2 (Gen 3) bass cabinet. It currently bears the steel grill and I would like to replace with the Silver cloth option for that retro look, and the slight reduction in overall weight. I would be grateful if you could let me know if this is still available for my model.
Thank you for such wonderful products and I look forward to receiving your reply.
All the best

Glad you're loving the cab!
Have a read of this page here regarding grills - https://barefacedaudio.com/

Hi Barefaced team.
Please can you advise on whether I can purchase replacement wheels for my Big Twin 2 cab (serial T103). They're a bit battered after several years of gigging and the axle on one is slightly broken.
P.S it's been totally awesome!
Thanks,
Rex

Hi Rex,
Glad the cab has been awesome! We can sell you some more wheels, you'll need a silicone gun and some neutral cure silicone to fix them back in, in addition to the screws you can see there. I think you're only the third cab (that we've been told about) with broken wheels, and we've been using these wheels since 2009!
Best regards,
Alex
17/11/24 - Big Baby 3 - USA
Hello, I have a question about the current model of the Big Baby 3. At what position of the tweeter control would the overall frequency response of the cabinet be flat? Thanks for your help. I’m enjoying my BB3.
Bill

Hi Bill,
It's about somewhere around a third of the way down. In any given acoustic space it's best to adjust by ear so it sounds right. Glad to hear you're enjoying it!
Best regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,
I currently have a Super Twin and would appreciate any thoughts you might have about which cab would be best for rehearsals and small gigs. I have a GSS Baby Sumo which will put out 600W@ 4 ohms and 300 @ 8 ohms. I will be running a Noble Pre /DI into the Sumo. This would be the third cab of yours I’ve had and love them all. My sound engineer loves them, he’s a bassist and really wants one!
Best,
Pete

Hi Pete,
If you like the Super Twin then the Super Compact or the Super 3rd is the obvious choice, as both are essentially half a Super Twin. The Super 3rd is shaped to stack neatly on the Super Twin, whilst the Super Compact is taller and slimmer as a better standalone cab. Glad you're loving our cabs!
Best regards,
Alex
