01/03/26 - Big Baby 2 + Dubster 2 - UK
This was my rig last night for a dep gig with a UB40 Tribute band.
EBS Reidmar 250 into a BBII & Dubster 2. Both 8 Ohm cabs. The band loved the bottom end.

Just got mine a month ago! Easily the best cabinet I’ve ever played through. Easy to transport too!

Hi,
I have a One10 with a blown speaker. I was running it with about 400W against a loud drummer and a lot of alcohol. I'm in San Francisco. Can you estimate what it would cost to ship me a driver?
Thanks
Kevin

It is sounding fully righteous, I can't use anything else now, just been touring it and even on really bad bass-sucking stages it sounds great.
I'm considering finding a higher powered power amp to put after my Origin Effects BASSRIG Fifteen so I've a bit more freedom to nudge the master higher and not max out the power amp, current one goes to 900w at 4ohm but some of these stages are really pushing the bounds, what with the drums sounding so big.

The Super Twin is so good! No bass in monitors needed.

My cabinet arrived safely! I didn't have the 16 ohm Copperback in the final order like I meant to, but I'm sourcing one here in the US and plan to swap it out.
In the meantime, the Vintage 30 sounds excellent with my Sovtek Mig 60. I'm particularly pleased with the dynamic range.
Anything special to note about replacing a speaker with the AVD? It looks like you pull the grille cloth out, remove the speaker from the front, and then access the wiring. Is that correct?
Regarding something that can power the 12XN and hopefully both speakers, I'm looking at a Crown XLS. https://www.crownaudio.com/en-
But I'm wondering about what would be good headroom while maintaining the ability to get down to a practice volume.
Here are the power specs for the series:

Is there one that would be suitable wattage to run both amp channels? One channel into each speaker with the stereo in, to allow balancing the volume between the speakers? If not, I'm thinking that at least bridged at a nominal 4 ohms into the mono input would be sufficient power. But I'm still not sure which to go with, if something else would be better, or if I need two power amps for this.
Thank you for your thoughts. I'm looking forward to hearing the cab in its full capacity.
Best,
Mira

Hi Mira,
Here's how to swap the speakers but it's as you guessed!
https://youtu.be/bSUs6cBQQss?
There's only 3dB in max output between the 1002 and the 2502, so you'll get a bit more with the 2502 but also have more risk of toasting things. They should all go as quiet as you need - I used to use a PLX 3002 for home practice and gigging, 900W per cab!
I assumed you'd decided against the Copperback when you ordered, didn't realise you'd forgotten it, sorry! Let us know how you get on with the cab!

23/02/26 - Two10ST - UK
I have finally had the chance to play through the Two10ST at a decent volume practicing in my 3 piece band.
Although I was expecting it to be superb because of the reputation, I was still blown away by the performance.
Playing through it in vertical/portrait position I was astounded by the clarity and presence.
The tweeter adds more upper register presence and clarity without sounding too screechy or reedy.
I received compliments from both the guitarist and drummer saying how much easier it is to hear everything I'm playing without the amp having to be cranked too loud, which I have had to do with a lot of 4x10s twice the size.
Overall I am very impressed and very, very pleased with the cab.
Many thanks,
Joe
23/02/26 - Upsizing 212 - USA
Hello,
I had received the Upsizing to match my Mad Professor CS-40 some time ago, and the results were honestly night and day.
I felt like I took the blanket off the cabinet! Thank you for your work, and I would just like to commend a job well done! Now I am looking to match a cabinet to a Blue Ridge Audio Looking Glass, a 50w amplifier based upon a Dumble ODS circuit. My idea is to pair the amplifier with an Uprising, with Warehouse ET-90 and WGS12L speakers, each 16ohm and wired in parallel.
The problem I am having is with ordering directly on the site. The only option I can get is the WGS12L in 8ohm, and no option for other speakers, despite their availability on the indicated related site (leanparts.uk, I think).
Is there something I may not be doing correctly to order this properly?
Thank you again for your time, your efforts, and your attention, and I look forward to your reply!
Regards,
Roman

Hi Roman,
We don't often fit non-Celestion speakers and there's so many of them that we don't have them added to the site. We can add those two so you can place your order. Glad you're loving your Upsizing!
Best regards,
Alex
22/02/26 - Super Twin - Unknown
Hello
I’m the happy owner/player of a gen 3 Barefaced Super Twin.
I’ve had it for years and enjoyed, however I am now wondering if I should look into downsizing the cab… so thought about asking your unbiased advise
For context: I play in a loudish psychedelic rock bands, 90% of the time I play in 100-200 people venues with PA support where I send an xlr output to main desk. Using my cab slightly tilted as a stage monitor, playing 4 string passive basses with effects, and a high pass filter around 50-75hz. General driven or distorted tone into a PF-500 bass head (500w solid state amp), with master rarely above 12-13 hours on the dial.
So, while I enjoy the overall sense of headroom and volume authority I don’t know how my CJ is really the big cab and how much is placebo, and I should look into downsizing (easier transport, less stage size, etc…
What would be your advise?
Thanks in advance,
Jaime

Hi Jaime,
If you've got your master volume above halfway then there's a fair chance you're using full power some of the time - loudish psychedelic rock sounds like the SPL that better suits a Super Twin than a Super Compact. You could try cranking the rig up louder in rehearsal and finding when it starts sounding really obviously clipped/compressed, then that'll give us an idea of if you've got the rig headroom to downsize.

Alex
20/02/26 - Big Twin 2 - UK
I bought a Big Twin 2 second hand from someone wanting to get a Super Twin (to scale his cab down a bit) - so hopefully you will get a sale indirectly from him.
BTW - the Big Twin 2 is immense - better than any cab I've owned, including Ashdown, Trace Elliot, David Eden and the most recent Markbass 104. Huge sound, I had to turn down my volume slightly compared to using my Markbass. Works perfectly with my valve Trace Elliot head too.
I get the things said on your videos about more bottom end not being flabby, and honest sound. As just hitting the pick slightly differently gets you a different sound. It's more than honest though, honest can sometimes have a connotation about not being great i.e. to be honest give you bad news/ candid. It's got more depth and wider bandwidth available. It's more expressive.
It's like going from a cheap pair of headphones to Apple Airpods, or going from HD to Ultra HD, everything is better!
If you would like a review, happy to do this with a picture. Just let me know. But just wanted to share my views, keep up the great work!
Thanks
Mark
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Mark,
That's great to hear - I think expressive is a good word for it. I think you'll find the honesty catches out players who aren't as good as they think they are though! ;-) Do send over a photo of the rig. We've been v pleased with how well the BT3 gets on with valve heads too!
Best regards,
Alex

16/02/26 - Big Baby 3 - Canada
Hey. Bought a couple of BB3’s off you guys a while ago and worth every precious penny.
They've served me well as a bass player and have done a bit of time being PA speakers when we play at places without an in house system. I’m now in the market for something smaller for living room and cafe gigs. I'm looking at an Activier One10. Is there still the possibility of an MAP (mono active passive) version? In case I'm mixing up terms its the one I've seen pictures of that can be passive or active. Is that option available in both the mono and stereo version?
Thank you and good day
Ian
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Ian,
Yes, the active/passive version of the One10 has proven quite popular!
[You'll need to add a One10T to your basket and then the Activier separately, making sure to select Yes (cab can also be used as a passive cab) under With speaker inputs (for external amp)]
Glad to hear the BB3s have been performing well!
Best regards,
Alex
