Extreme loudness and full-range accuracy that lays waste to all but the biggest conventional bass cabs.

The size of a 4x10" but taller and slimmer so it's easier to move and easier to hear with the output and bottom of a 4x10" plus 1x18" stack, plus far superior dispersion and quicker transient response. For everyone from those wanting to hear their bass like it's through huge studio monitors to those stacking up the gnarliest FX chains and dominating the mix with layers of sound cutting through, sitting under and slotting between walls of guitar noise.

The Big Twin 3 represents the pinnacle of high accuracy bass cab design - taking the outstanding performance of the BT2 up another level. For more details of how the BT3 and BB3 better their predecessors for tone, accuracy and giggability, click on this link!

05/08/25 - Big Twin 2 + Six10 - USA

Hey fellas,

10-11 years ago I ordered my first barefaced cab, a Big Twin 2. Its been through over 2000 shows all over the US. It took a bad spill off a loading dock in 2017 and another in 2019. I bought a Six10 around then for a more vintage sound. Anyway, the BigTwin is basically rattling itself apart. When I hit low notes, it makes a terrible noise. The drivers are fine, but the cab is done.

I would love to transfer them to a new cab. What would I need to spend to have a new cab sent here, with no drivers or crossover?

I want to add, that these are the best sounding cabs I've ever played. I turned several bassist in Austin on to these, and they love them as much as I do.

Thanks fellas

Robert

Hi Bobby,

Sorry to hear your BT2 is struggling! Unfortunately the main cost of a cab is in building it and that's also our current production limitation. So we could build you a new one to swap the drivers to but it won't cost that much less than a complete one. As the BT2 is a painted cab, not tolexed, then it should be possible to fix it completely, with enough glue and clamping - you'd need to pull all the insulation out so you can see the inside properly and then find all the loose joints. We can build you another but not as cheaply as I'm sure you'd like - I wish we had the profitability to do otherwise!

Best regards,

Alex

05/08/25 - Big Baby 2 / Big Twin 2 / LF1400 (discontinued) - UK

Hope all is good in Brighton. Still promoting Barefaced here in Cornwall.

Question:

I use a Dynacord TGX10 amp. It runs Sub aux at 1250W into 8 Ohms which I have been doing passively whilst sorting LF1400 amp fix. It will however will deliver 2500W into 4 Ohms. I like using a singe front facing Sub stage centre, plus easy transport.

What is the current speaker in the LF1400?

Would it be worth upgrading to Fane 18XL1600 (4 Ohm) or 18XL2000 (8 Ohm).  Would the cab design handle it and would they fit?

I run 2 channels F/H L + R into 2 x BB2 and add 2 x BT2 in parallel for bigger gigs. Did a 800 audience Country Festival at weekend. Sounded great.

Martin

Hi Martin,

Rig looks epic!

This is the driver in the LF1400: https://faitalpro.com/en/products/LF_Loudspeakers/product_details/index.php?id=201070125

It's only available as 4 or 8 ohms and we used the 8 ohm version so we could bridge the power amp module.

I don't think you'll gain anything from changing the driver, the current one is really good - and I don't know if those others will fit and work well with the cab design.

Best regards,

Alex

Hello.

I recently got my Big Twin 3 and I couldn't be happier. I will be trying it out today for the first time and I am extremely excited.

I did want to ask, do you have any covers for these?

Al

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We certainly do!

For future reference, here is how to add a cover when purchasing the cab from us:

Just a thank you for your advice after my request for info on your incredible bass cabs.

Although I didn’t by one new from you as planned I did get a beautiful Big Twin 3 pre-loved. What a monster for such a light weight cab. Clarity is wonderful and punch is awesome. For the first time I can hear a big difference between multiple amps. I will be looking in the future for a Big Baby 3 for smaller gigs. I am very proud to be an owner of your wonderful products.

Continue the great work

Wayne

I haven’t fully got to grips with it yet but this combination is pretty good. It’s just about loud enough for a medium sized lounge.
Good job I have an understanding wife.

Out on a festival reggae gig with my Big twin II. Sounds Big.

I've posted this rig before but not outside in 100F heat, in direct sunlight for 3 hours. Note lens flare from spray-on sunblock. You will be *shocked* to hear it sounded great.

I understand that the power stage in the TT is designed to break up gracefully, and make good tone when it does, but I've never been able to turn up that far 😆

Performs exactly as I hoped!

I bought my DB750 new in 2002. I have yet to find anything that comes close to the sound this amp produces. Used in conjunction with the Nordstrand preamp and Barefaced cab, it’s the best sounding rig I have played through.

I picked up this BT2 on Wednesday and let it stretch its legs in the studio last night with the band.

Ibanez BTB805MS
Ibanez PTEQ
HX Stomp
Warwick LWA1000

I was a bit of a sceptic - hadn’t seen much written about hard rock/metal through these cabs - but I’m convinced it can do anything you want.

Love the sound and handling of my Big Twin 2x12 and my new 1x12 for upright.

Great cabinets.

This rig sounds soooo sweet 😎 a perfect combination!

22/03/25 - Big Baby 3 + Big Twin 3 - Germany

I just finished a little amp and cab shootout. We compared my BB3 with a BT3 and a Rheingold BA112.

The Barefaced speakers outshined the Rheingold by far (especially in the low end department)

The fact that everyone who uses one basically becomes a brand ambassador for the company shows how quality the product is. The amount of people who are freaked out by how light the cabs are when helping us tear down off stage always gives a chuckle too.

The Big Twin II does not look like a one arm lift but it totally is.

One of our favourite things about them on stage is if a monitor mix goes to hell, the dispersion is so effective you can hear each other crystal clear.
