Super Mini / Super Mini T
Regular price
£799.00
Almost as much accuracy and output as the Big Baby 3 but shrunk into a barely half-size package.
The ideal cab for anyone needing full-range accuracy, serious loudness and the smallest possible rig. Very popular with doublers playing both upright bass (aka double bass) and electric bass. Also an excellent guitar FRFR cab for modelling.
Need more output? Add a second Super Mini to make a modular 2x12XN rig which can handle almost any gig, or a Super Compact for similar results with some more depth and roundness in the lows and three different sized rig solutions, or a Big Baby 3 for even deeper tighter and again, three different sized gig choices.

I'm hoping you can help me.
A few years ago I had a Super Midget and foolishly sold it. I decided to change my whole rig and have regretted it ever since. I am now looking to buy a new Barefaced cab and was hoping for some advice.
I run a TC Electronics RH750 amp and have a Vanderkley 600w Neolite cab. It is a nice cab but does not have huge finesse. I am looking for a Barefaced cab to add that finesse. With the Vanderkley I don't hear the nuances of my playing, the ghost notes and little taps and kills. When I had the Super Midget I used a TC Electronics RH450 and got all the good stuff. I play a passive Wal bass and like a "woody" tone but maybe with just the V it is not muddy, but not enough tonality in the mids and possibly in the bass also.
As I say, I am looking to pair something up so anything from 500w to 800w is more than enough power. From what I've read/been informed, I see the choice as being between a Super Compact and a Two 10s. - but not having had the chance to try either I was hoping you could guide me.
Thanks in advance
Mal

Hi Mal,
Definitely a 12XN cab if you want all the nuances - that's a big part of what's so special about the 12XN, you hear EVERYTHING!
Best regards,
Alex

I have received, and am amazed by, the Super Mini T; it surpasses my exceedingly high expectations. Truly amazing.

Hi,
I need a cover for a Big Baby 2 (Not the current BB3 model). Do you still have these? If so, what will it cost? I live in Oslo, Norway.
I also own a One10 and a Super Midget that I am very happy with!
Kind regards,
Bjørnar

Hi Bjønar,
I'm sorry, we're all out of those covers now. We might be able to get one made for you if you wish?
Glad you're enjoying the One10 and SM!
Kind regards,
Isaac

The cab arrived safely yesterday and was packed in an exemplary manner! As I saw so many photos of the SMT on the net, I thought it must have been a bit bigger and was very happily surprised by its size and weight!
Unfortunately I’m quite a bit sick since almost three weeks and I don’t have an amp here at home to play this little beauty. As I’m mostly played combos in the last years, I only have a Fender Dual Showman Reverb in my classroom but as soon as I recovered a little, I will play it and tell you immediately.
Honestly I’ll have to tell you that I already have a next cab in mind :-)
Thank you and all the people at Barefaced for your superb products and your perfect support!
07/07/24 - Super Twin + Super Mini - Germany
I bought a Super Twin from you last year and I'm really happy with it. Recently I had to double on electric and upright on some gigs and discovered that it also sounds great with double bass! I only would need a smaller version of it because carrying the super twin and a double bass is a bit too much for me.
For the gigs where I only play double bass I use a QSC CP12 active speaker but I couldn't get a good sound with it for the electric bass. - Would the Super Mini be a good option for me to amplify the upright alone or doubling? - The QSC has a tweeter. For the electric bass I don't need one, is it a good idea to have a tweeter for the double bass? I sometimes use a DPA mic only on double bass or only a realist pickup. I use gut strings and play loud acoustically. - I guess the Super Mini would be loud enough for gigs with jazz bands (even big bands)?
Kind regards,
Max

Hi Max,
Yes, the Super Mini T will be ideal for that, upright or doubling, tweeter for a more acoustic sound and yes it'll be loud enough! Glad you're enjoying the ST!
Best regards,
Alex

The new SMT arrived yesterday and I’m so impressed by the big sound in such a convenient package. The adjustable tweeter is a great option, as it makes adjusting for different basses very easy. Rehearsals will never be the same! You guys are amazing.

Hi Alex
Thanks for that. After much thinking, I won't be going ahead and will be keeping my trusty Gen 1 Compact and Mini
which have served me well over the last 8 years or so.
All the best.
Steve

Thanks for checking in. I did receive the Super Midget (and the 2 T-shirts — thanks!) on November 8.
I had a chance to play through them this past weekend. They sounded great: full, loud, really nice. My guitar-player mate of 35+ years commented on how great the new rig sounds.
Thanks to all you Barefaced folks — your cabs are great! I’ll leave some reviews of the SC and SM on your website in the near future.

BTW., can I also say how completely delighted I am with my cabs. It is such a rare thing when reality lives up to expectations but your cabs certainly do. They are everything your said they were but that doesn’t quite capture the feeling, the satisfaction, of playing thru the cabs – simply a different world !!!

My current rig is a Barefaced Super Midget with a Walter Woods blue light for big stages and a Walter Woods red light for smaller venues with doublebass. Preamps EBS Valve DI and Sadowsky. Instruments old Fender Precisons an Jazzbasses.
The Super Midget is for me the perfect box, small & light, powerful, vintagewarm and super for doublebass and - it has a good vintage design (this is also important!:)
If you want to hear a negativ point, I dislike the old Logo. It don`t fits to my vintagelove, the new logo is perfect. I know you established the old brand:)
I think about buying a One 10T for small doublebass gigs, I had a good sounding Glockenklang 10“, but it was too heavy.
Best regards!

I purchased a Super Midget cab in March of this year which has the old barefaced logo on the steel grill. I'm extremely pleased with the SM and would now like to add a Super Compact to my bass rig. I see that they are now supplied with the new script logo.
I would like to have the same logo on each cab and would be grateful if you could let me know what the options are.
Kind regards
Dave
Alex responds: We might be able to find some remaining old style badges for you - will have a search! Glad the SM is performing well!

To all at Barefaced,
Thank you very much received the cabinet in great condition, played it on several gigs last one on double bass, with a full horn and rhythm section playing salsa.
Was able to hear myself and still get the bass response to fill out the band.
Very, very impressive for a cabinet with that footprint, well done.
(Will be selling my ten2 AI shortly)
Thanks again,
Richard

Played the American Airlines Center Party on the Plaza a coupla weeks ago. Amazing sound space that the SM+BB2 filled with some deep, tight tone

Alex Claber, you was right and I was wrong. I bought a fender rumble head 500 watts (4 ohms), end of november 2018, to paired with this cab and the amp was not enough loud (250 watts in 8 ohms). The recommandation of Alex was to paired the SM with the Orange terror bass which i didn't buy like i was supposed. At this moment, I just wanted to save $$$. The terror bass has the ability to put the amp in 8 ohms and the SM has 600 watts RMS to offer in 8 ohms. The result is totally unbelievably loud and clear and the high performance tweeter on the SM adding just what I need for the high frequencies. Finally, i sold the fender rumble and my new Orange works likes a dream for me. Next step is to test live but hahaha, I'm not afraid at all 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thank you very much for your support Alex and Barefaced team !!!

Love it :)
I’ve done a number of rehearsals it now with both of my bands and at gigs and it has performed flawlessly. I had thought that I would need at least two, but frankly it has been well loud enough on it’s own, even though my amp is essentially operating at 50% power into 8 ohms and i’m not pushing it at all.
I don’t need 2 but I want another :) I think the extra cab will give me a bit more dispersion and will also look great :)
One thing i’m still not sure about is that if anything the cab could do with a bit more bottom end wallop. I’m wondering if a super compact might be the way to go? Having said that I like the tweeter!
